Genz Benz Streamliner, Part 10

Yeah, I never really pushed it into overdrive but there was a point where the tubes would start adding some harmonic complexity or something that was what I really liked about that amp. Your gain/volume settings are very close to what I posted a few posts earlier.
Between the gain button, gain knob and preamp volume knob there is a lot of volume before you ever get to the master.

How do you like the neos with the Streamliner? Just curious to hear your thoughts.
The 115s desperately need some low end and a bit of a taming in the mids. The neo 412 with the streamliner is really vintage
I'll report back in a week when I gig. This is a very rare gig I don't use my wireless and shuttle max 9.2 as we have a sound man and I can't go off stage. Great time to experiment!

Looking forward to hearing more from your gig Tunaman. I think ts been a while since you've used the Streamliner.
Honestly the Shuttlemax 9.2 is a cover band players dream so its VERY hard to not bring it. The dual channels & tone shapers are all I have going from song to song with no breaks & allows me to nail the tone of the recording pretty dead on everytime. No way that happens with the Streamliner or any other single channel amp without a footswitch but hey... I'm going to have some fun with it!

I always gig my Streamliner. I love this head! I am however, going to look for a Shuttle 9.2 this fall though. Want to get a different flavor of Genz to try out.
I had an outdoor festival gig yesterday and brought my Streamliner 900. I've had it since around Christmas and have used and enjoyed it several times before now. I think I've just found the magic setting though.....crank that thing up! Man, it sounded great. It really seemed to open up, frequency wise.

I love my Streamliner 900 and use it the most, I normally carry either my Shuttle 6.0 or my Shuttle Max 12 as a backup. I am playing mostly through a UL410 4ohm cabinet and occasionally I will take my TC Electronics 210 for small places.
Gain at 11:00, volume at 2, bass at 10, mid at 1, mid freq at 2.5k, treble at 2, master at 2. Played through my Lakland Skyline DJ with Fender custom shop pickups
That would be pretty darn loud with the settings you described! What kind of cab were you using? Was there FOH or did you just blow out eardrums?
im going to check out that setting Saturday night and see if I can piss off my guitar player 
My settings with Fodera Emperor and with one Aggie SL112 and one DB112. Pre volume at full, everything else att noon, master at 9 to 10, gain button out.
It was loud but not ridiculously. Huge outdoor stage...my amp was about 20 ft away from me. I was using a Genz NeoX 212. The older model.
