Just wanted to say "oomphy" one more time before Part III was locked. I wonder if I'll have mine before Part IV hits 1000...

It is difficult to put into words.
When you plug into to the Streamliner you are there. No knob turning, no tweaking, no looking for a VLE setting. Your just there.
And when you get there you do not want to leave. There is no grass over the hill somwhere you want to be. You have arrived.

I'm pretty sure that was by very specific design and desire. Just sayin'I heard from a little bird that yes the SL900 will hang with the super-duper clean of the SA200 with no issues...
Curious what styles of music, bands, basses and cabs the current crop of Streamliner 900 owners are involved with?
The reason I ask is that sometimes Tube amp lovers covet a certain style of music and sound where other music and players favor something else.
How is your new rig working?

Red that was my problem with the Mark Bass, I NEEDED the VLE BUT I like the flexibility of the LMIII & wonder if I would miss that in the Streamliner. I didn't like the VPE just like I don't like the enhance, contour on SWR, GK or Eden (They just boost lows & highs) VLE brought some warmth & I didn't expect that.
I dont see the Streamliner as flexible, which is okay as long as I love the tone as is. I can't see that as a plus to the Streamliner though This is coming from a guy who loves a 50 knob Eden Navigator! I wouldn't call the LM Tube a tube amp & you certainly wouldn't compare it to the Aggie.
I dont see the Streamliner as flexible,.
The best thing for you as this point would be to buy one and be done with it![]()
The VLE is just a fancy treble roll off, which actually I always just did on my bass. And the SL has warmer chewier highs to begin with. Just my .02

The VLE is almost like a tone control on a passive Bass but just a smidgen different. In the mix, pretty much can't tell it from one. The VPF is Mid scoop.
My thing with the MarkBass amps I owned was, I never could quite get there tonally and I was always asking the amps for more power than they had.
If your playing into a 4 ohm load all the time, they will get the job done and really do sound good but just different animals than theese warmer rounder Genz amps.
