I’m guessing I was not alone in sending a PM asking what indeed it is

While the rest of the world waits for an official announcement
Yep, I'm glad I asked.
Agreed! I'm looking at adding a second cab around the new year.
Looks like I'll be waiting just a little longer..... Glad my New Year's Eve gig is not a huge club.

Random off topic question - has anyone run their MG800 carry bag through the washing machine? I got mine second hand and the previous owner was likely a heavy smoker as this is really smelly. A strong Lysol hosing down inside and out was no match for the funk. And not the good kind of funk.

If you can borrow an ozone machine, put it in an isolated closet or small room with the ozone machine overnight. Be sure not to breathe the fumes. Renting one would probably cost as much as a new bag.

Try some Febreze. Maybe that will work. Been told about putting Baking soda onto stuff then cleaning.

If all else fails, ditch it and get a Samsonite Laptop Computer case. Works perfectly and adds some room for wires and etc.

Try a car detailing shop or products - they have stuff to get rid of smoke smell... or wet dog or whatever. Probably work. I personally would not put it through a wash - maybe dry cleaner?

I don't know where you live so whether this is reasonable at this time of year... but try leaving it outside in the sun for a day or two. And maybe carpet cleaner, even the kind designed to remove pet smells.

Hey all...I find myself rehearsing with a pretty loud band in a very small space and would like to get my BA12-3 off the ground. Looking at three different On-Stage stands including the RA7000, RS7500 and RS7705. I think that just getting it off the ground (and losing some low end perhaps) and tilting up will increase definition and my ability to hear notes rather than just feel them.

I do have a second BA12-3 which does, as others have suggested, make a lovely stand for the other BA12-3. But it's just the times when I bring the one cabinet that has me wanting a stand. Will the little (and portable) 7500 work fine for that? I stand just inches in front of the rig.

Thanks!

I have the RS7000 and like it a lot.

Yes, I should certainly do this and I did PM Jeff! I'm also sworn to secrecy but I can say that this will change my buying decision.

We'll all know soon enough!

Bob

Well, you can all thank me for this. I have an uncanny habit of buying things before a new product is announced.

- bought my first EB stingray and then they announced 2 pickup models

- bought my Mesa D800 6 days before they announced the 800+

- just bought my MG800 and 2 BA12-3’s and now...

I am all for progress, I just wish it would coincide better with my buying schedule :D

Been told by automotive car re-sellers. They use apples cut in half to remove smells (even a deceased person) from a car. Maybe worth a try at 50 cents a pound. Guess you could try bagging up in a large trash bag. Just an idea.

If it is that rank I would try hand washing it with Woolite. If that doesn't work get a new one. I hate the smell of cigarette smoke.
