I don't think it get's stated enough on how great the DI out is on these heads. I've had sound engineers having their own preferred DI boxes use mine after side by side tests. Best DI out I've used on a amp.

Thx for the info & pics! I love everything i'm hearing - front ported, fans that only come on when needed (at the studio i play at i play thru a Eden WT800, which after playing full out has a seriously loud fan).

It does sound like micing them takes some listening, but thats what studio's are for. I normally use a Heil PR40 on a aguilar 12" cab which gets decent results. My home setup is a Alembic F1X --> underpowered halfer power amp --> Bag End M2/D10/S18E Elf system, which is way overkill for a 300 sq ft family/music room - the Bag End Speakers really sound good (flat down to 18hz), but they are big & heavy.

You may have to copy the list and post it in a new post so you can update that way? Not sure how that works honestly. It's nice to use my powers for good instead of evil - warnings, bannings, etc.

Thanks! I have this same problem with the Dimension Club and one of our members is a mod who has been doing the list updates for me, which I find a lot nicer than having the list in multiple locations.

And...yeah, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the acoustic array amp, but I have used acoustic guitars through both the MG800 and the MG350 into both the BA112-3 and the BA110-2 and it was a great sound. The array cabs lend themselves well to acoustic guitar which is probably what led to the development of the acoustic array.

I read somewhere that the acoustic amp has a different woofer than the bass combo unless you get the special edition from Gollihur Music.

I too have used my Magellan and BA12-3 cab with my acoustic guitar and as Michael reported, it works really, really well. I haven't tried my 350 combo with acoustic but I expect it would as well.

Well this is exactly correct. When I built the first proto cab of the BA12-3 I realized how well it would work for acoustic guitar...and of course I plugged in several and tested and it was pretty revealing.

I just did this for the Gollihur Series version of the AAPro, which has the bass speaker in it, rather than the driver specially designed for guitar (acoustic guitar also sounds good through the Bass-Specific model)

FWIW, I have the EQs set pretty flat, but the Contour at about 2/3 "on." My bass has EMG pickups (18v) and is being run flat with both pickups even.

Yeah, well the AAPro was designed and built as a guitar (and other higher-pitched instrument) combo, and the regular version has a much more balanced tone for guitars, IMHO. The idea to make a bass version came out of a conversation Jeff and I had while he was here showing us the prototype of the new AAPro, after we tried it with an upright bass.

Question about the inputs, I have a 350 and for fun the other day I tried my Demeter 201S tube preamp into the 350 and I really like what it does. The 350 is not really designed for this as far as connections so I just ran the unbalanced out of the Demeter into the normal 1/4” input. I kept the volume super low so it wouldn’t clip, like 8:00 and I was just in my studio so I had the master volume at like 9:00 and it had a fair amount of volume even like this. Demeter volume I had around 10-11:00.
From a technical point of view should I be keeping the volume of the Demeter as low as possible before it hits the 350 so that it seems more like a “normal” signal? Or does that matter technically to the 350?

The Demeter doesn’t have a drive just a volume as it’s a preamp obviously. So it’s not like I can push the tubes and then lower the master out of that because it doesn’t have a master. This makes me think the “drive” of the tubes is the same at any output level of the Demeter.
Sorry for the lengthy description any help appreciated. Thanks

@RNG1, I don't think you need to worry too much about your preamp level---just rely on the MG 350's Input CLIP LED as to how much level from the preamp you send. Since there is no Effects Loop on the MG 350, this is you only option to input the signal from the preamp to the MG.
