Welp, the comments received conveyed the Genzler MG800 & 410-3 rig was on and popping list night!! Funny thing though, several people said I sounded good and asked what bass I was playing, and one was a guitar player attending the event. I'm sure it was the Genzler rig making the bass sound great, or was it the bass sounding marvelous through the rig.
FYI @Holdsg, I did take the bottle of water off of the cabinet after sound check!

If your bass sounds good on its own, your Genzler rig is just amplifying it without any coloration. It’s also bringing out transients that you may not hear with other rigs. That’s the beauty of Genzler. Good tone goes in, great tone comes out!!

It's a great sounding passive Jazz bass!! It has a 0.033uF cap on the tone pot and really responds to what you want from it. So, the Genzler didn't have to compete with another preamp.

I don't mix drinking and performing on stage. 
I partake either before the gig, while on break or after the gig. It's just cleaner.
Nice choice Nightman! We had our first show of 2021 last night. I picked up a new Sire V5 a few weeks back and it sounded great through the Genzler rig. I used my Sadowsky preamp to take things to another level. I had the Sadowsky set to where it was just a pinch hotter when engaged then when I was in ‘passive’ mode from just the bass. With the pre-gain at Noon I ran the master just a little over 9 o clock and had plenty of bass goodness filling things up. I’ve said it before but this is hands down the best 4X10 cab I’ve ever played. The calendar is starting to slowly but surely fill up so plenty of Genzler goodness is on the horizon!

Im currently playing a TC BAM 200 but I’m looking for something with more oomph and punch for my barefaced big baby 2 cab. Has anyone here compared the Magellan 350 (175@ 8 ohm) with the TC BAM (allegedly 140 @ 8ohm, which I doubt.). I want more power but on paper it seems to be only 35W, but I have a feeling there is more to it.
I have the funds for the 800, but I’m not sure if I need it, feel free to convince me.
also, it seems like the mg 350/800 can emulate a lot of other amps, but does it react well with preamps such as onboard Sadowsky and noble preamps? Or am I better going straight in?

Not compared the amps, but my MG350 has seen me through gigs into smaller cabs than a BB2. I felt like my MG350 came to life with my BF cab (One10). It can cop lots of tones, and isn't just a hi fi pedal platform like some say. I've not found a preamp pedal I like better (but my SushiFX PA comes in May, so ask me then) than the Genzler. I don't use many pedals, and my MG gets me most any tone I need.
I have a TC Bam and 2 mg350s. The Genzlers are in a different class all together. Tone, power, build quality, and dang near everything is better on the Genzler. No contest! The Magellan amps/cabs take preamps extremely well. I use and have used several preamp pedals, distortions, drives, modulations, etc. thru the Magellan 800 and it is amazing how well they sound. Especially with the Bass Array cabs!
I don’t know what the MG350 sounds like with other cabs, but the MG350 Combo is “The Little Monster”!

The 410-3 rocks for sure! The venue I played last night is looking to book a band for monthly events. So, I’m looking forward to a call to be the bass player and get more usage out of the 410-3.
I had previously thought about getting another 12-3 SLT and run the two 12-3 cabs with the MG800 for medium size venues, thinking the 410-3 was a bit of an overkill. But last night worked very well as far as I’ve heard.
It was just great getting out again on a gig!!

aux in is for outside sources like music to play along with - it is only controlled by master and bypasses the preamp controls.
I guess you could use it the way you describe but if I needed that functionality- I’d recommend going to the 800 which has a proper send and return as well as aux and a very good drive channel.

Yes, it can be used like that. I've never run it in rehearsal, but I test preamp pedals and such that way, when I get the inkling.
And I'm with you, I often don't take pedals to rehearsals, and this sounds great as is.
