Your involvement here is much appreciated.

I’m currently running a Magellan 800 head with a BA210 cab and looking to add a second cab for larger venues. How would a NuClassic 210 work with what I have. Play mostly R&B, blues, funky stuff.

Another quick question: my BA, purchased used, is labeled Magellan on the front. Would this date it to any particular time?

@Jfp --- thanks for using our gear. Sounds like you have a nice rig to start with already. Regarding you questions, my personal taste, I would not blend the NC-210T with the BA210-3. Certainly you won't break anything, I just think these are totally different response platforms and I would stay with the Bass Array series to augment your current cab.
If you're a lover of 10's then there is no reason to move past just adding another BA210-3 cab. Do you currently have a straight version? If so, I'd personally go with a slant, for more variety of stacking options.
BUT if you like the quickness that your current 10"s offer, but you want to bring more depth and bottom end fullness to the rig, then there is no question the BA15-3SLT is the solid choice. I have NO concerns at all using BA2x10" cabs with the BA15-3SLT. They blend together so well.

Again so much of this is personal taste.

It seems that the knowledgeable folks here at TB all gave me good advice as I assumed they would. Your word cements it. Looks like a BA15-3SLT is in my near future to match my 210-3SLT.

That new pedal looks great! My band was back at the same venue we played a couple of weeks ago. The place next door had Texas legend Dale Watson outside and they had their system pumped up. Management gave us the green light to crank things up more than usual to make sure we weren’t drowned out. I gave my master volume a little boost from my norm and away we went. All I’ve got to say is the tone was glorious and I think these cabs sound better the more they are pushed! I had a buddy there that has known me for years, knows my tone and style etc and he was amazed by the quality of sound from the bass rig!

Anyhow….crank em if you’ve got em!!

Cheers Jamie, it's nice to be part of the family. I've only had 1 rehearsal with it so far and I was not disappointed. The bottom end was a bit wooly but it was on a wooden floor. I may need to investigate an isolation platform From where I was standing I got more of the 12's depth but it still sounded great. Fantastic clarity, makes you want to play better and with more accuracy. I have another rehearsal this week I will try to raise it up on something to see what difference it makes, it may just be the room acoustics.

This community around Genzler is very responsive and Jeff is often on. When I was considering Darkglass, Trickfish, Bergantino or Genzler it quickly was either Jim or Jeff due to their interactive support. Berg or TF I think I would like, as well, but I am happy with my choice. Mine is generally on carpet over concrete/laminate flooring, so I haven’t had problems but I am mostly at home due to high infection rates in my area. I am sure good people will give advice on what works for them.

Thanks Man! Now that the world seems to be opening up, my schedule is getting busy! We booked 6 big theater shows today! Can’t wait to get out there!

I got 3 more outdoor shows in Jun, July & August. Then everything else is inside!! Live Music is Back!!

Got myself a gig booked, excited to fire up the MG800 again in this theatre space as I've played there before and it performed outstandingly. It's such a naturally warm and full amp, I really feel like it covers all the quirks of my Dingwall exceptionally well (naturally thinner sounding D and G due to lighter gauge strings and natural sound of the bass) and do not get me started on the low B.

I totally agree. The BA410-3 as a stand-alone cab pushed by the MG800 is absolutely amazing. Nice even response from lows, mids and highs and the dispersion from these cabs just fill the room!!

I've played about 10 gigs in the last month and a half using the MG350/MG12T-V (I posted pics and reviews earlier in the thread) and I have been extremely satisfied with the rig's performance, both tone and volume. Then Jeff introduced the Nu Classic series and it got me thinking. And then, you guys keep posting pictures of your Bass Array rigs and it makes me second-guess selling my BA10-2. As if that isn't enough, I have an MG800 sitting in my music room not getting used because the MG350 is so capable. I'm just in a bit of analysis paralysis but it's a good place to be. My true preference is the smooth balanced sound of the BA series (although I obviously haven't heard the Nu Classic cabs yet); it will be interesting to see where this journey leads me.

Yep. About 90% of the places we play we have full PA support so really getting to push my cab doesn’t happen that often! No complaints on how it sounds at lower volumes either…..just fun to open it up!!

I think you need to put a plate of bangers n’ mash in front of the rig - that will really array the sound
