I really don't think there's a head/cab combination that doesn't/wouldn't sound good.
NC 212 with MG 800 handled my outdoor gig last weekend! Plenty of volume and no PA support! This is now my new main cab vs taking a pair of MG 112s = perfect one cab solution. If I need more volume, I'll just add in one MG 112.
I'm keeping both MG 112s and MG 212 though
....GAS!
Quick question for those who may have had both.....
I have a Genz Benz Uber 2x12 and I love it, but I'm starting to have back issues so I'm considering a lighter cab ( or cabs ).
So, interested to find out if the Genzler NuClassic 2x12's sound similar to the GB Uber unit ( as I believe it's a bit lighter weight )?

I believe the Magellan 212T is going to get you closer to the Uber cabs. 700 Watts at 4 ohms and is only 54 lbs.

I wasn't sure if I would pick up a NC212 until I had the chance to hear it at my local store and really liked it - it's pretty much all I've used since I picked it up. I have an Uber 210 cab but haven't gigged with it so unfortunately I don't have a good real world (i.e. outside of home practice room volumes) comparison so I'd defer to @Joeykun since I know he's more familiar with both models.
Another option to consider if you can handle the extra cost would be a pair of 112TVs. 24 lbs each, I believe I recall @jeffgenzler in an earlier post saying that a pair would be similar to a 212.
I was in my local music store getting a setup done on a new bass when I noticed all the Mesa Subway amps and cabs were gone. This shop has been around for decades and is a long time Mesa dealer so I asked what was up. Apparently, since Gibson bought Mesa they are putting the squeeze on some of their dealers for more financial info and pressuring them to carry the Gibson line as well. This shop was too small to accommodate a request like that so the Mesa stock was pulled. What a shame. Without Mesa their bass amp selection is pretty weak, so I suggested that perhaps Genzler might be worth considering to add back some quality to their inventory. I described some of the product lineup to the tech. He was interested and said he'd talk to the owner about it. I'd like to see some more Genzler gear in the Houston area. For a major city we have some pretty slim pickings for hands on demo. Everything is online.

Just spent about 3 hours recording various passages while tweaking the contour, gain control and EQ on the MG800. I think I like this amp even more than I thought honestly.
The subtlety of even pretty small changes of the knobs across the range is definitely noticeable when listening to the bass by itself. Kept switching between pick and fingers periodically, for fingers I preferred contour B and for pick I liked curve A atleast with how I have my rig setup.
I ended up finding a real sweet spot on curve B at 9:30 where I felt like it was noticeable enough of a high roll off but didn't darken everything up so much as to lose clarity. Loved it.
Anyway I thought I would share because I feel like I'm on the cusp of some really cool and good DI tones with this setup. Pretty sure steel strings are not for me though cause of the increased ultra hi response.

^^^ No doubt! Contour B has a nice bump in that finger tone area around 150Hz. Glad you are liking your Magellan 800. They are nothing short of amazing no matter what tone you seek!
Just found this used at a too good to be true price! It’s in like-new condition, literally. I’m blown away by this little amp. It sounds fantastic with all of my speaker cabinets, old and new. Thinking about getting a Genzler NC-212T.

I think in the last month or two I’ve changed my mind about my cab direction 20 times… but I finally decided to get a BA10-2 to pair with my 12-3. Considering I have the 12-3 already and really like the sound (and the dispersion), this was the cheapest route and gets me everything I want. I had a pit rehearsal in a large room last night, and again the B Amp paired with the 12-3 was just fantastic and so easy to tweak for the boomy room. I have a 10-2 coming today that I found used, so I can’t wait to compare and pair them.
I can’t get any noise from my re/Q if I tried! And I tried.
Congrats! I like all the cabs in the Nu Classic line but the 212 has become my favorite/go-to one-cab solution. It's got all of the capabilities I like but with a very light weight and small footprint design.
I freakin' LOVE my 10-2. Easy schlep. Useable low end. (As in not too much and not too little.) Punchy. Clear.
I got three some time ago and, honestly, I only need two. Most of my gigs are now IEM and if I do use my Genzler rig two has been enough. Even on outdoor stages where there's plenty of FOH/monitors and all I need to do is hear myself clearly.
