My Nu Classic 210T + 115T cabs arrived today! Kudos to Greg at Rocket Music for shipping two cabs from VA to FL in 2 1/2 days flat order to door, and FREE!

I've only had a chance to check them out at moderate volume but my initial impression is WOW! These are very, very, very good sounding cabs!

There's something unmistakable about ceramic drivers! These cabs are so solid, well balanced, responsive, even. The 210 and 115 have very different voices, and layer together perfectly. The overall effect is thunderous, solid, tight low end without any boom. Clear, aggressive (in a good way) lower and upper midrange, without the "nasal congestion" a lot of neos seem to have. The woofers also have a very surprising high frequency response. I prefer the tweeters turned completely off - a bit of treble and hi mid from the amp give the highs a big bell-like sound to them. Awesome tone with my Jazz basses.

The sum total of these cabs really gives me the impression of some of the best classic "big A" sealed cabinets. It's a bit strange how these ported cabs have that great feel and response of sealed ceramic cabs of yesteryear, but with with a more modern (in a good way) updated tone to them. They sound absolutely HUGE, but have the form factor and weight of neos!

Very nicely done @Jeff Genzler! I'm really psyched to try these out in a live band setting later this month!

@JoePP --- Thank you so much for choosing our NU CLASSIC cabs. Also, glad the Greg at Rocket Music could make it happen quickly for you. Your comments are spot on as to our design goals for the NU CLASSIC series. A blend of OLD ---- ceramic drivers and NEW ---- lightweight, small footprint cabs. Glad they have hit the mark with you. I'm sure the NC-210T and NC-115T is a formidable rig and will deliver for you on any stage. Also glad your decerning about gear has brought you to a great place.

That looks real nice! I have to do this as well as I decided I will be stacking the 4otF and the Crashbox but I'm waiting until after the busy summer gigging season to add it to my board.

I'm curious about something, I had been using a Re/Q but pulled it once I started using the Mesa +, which had a few additional features that I needed (mute, DI, tuner out). What do you use the Q for in addition to the Subway? The only feature that I can see it has that the + doesn't is the low pass filter.

Hi guys, I’ve been using Genzler for a few months. I have a 12-3 and a Magellan 800. I only use the rig for stage reference. I want a second cab and lean towards putting a 15-3 below the 12-3. Does anyone here combine a 15-3 with a 12-3?

A little more low end would be great, though it might just be more volume that I’m needing. Or perhaps as soon as I stack any cab and the height of the rig raises, that taller height will also play a large factor. I’m not sure if a second 12-3 will do the job just fine or better.

If someone does have a 15-3 and 12-3, do they physically stack well together? Do the frequencies of the different speakers blend well together? Should I just get a second 12-3? Is the noticeable difference even significant? Am I overthinking this?

I have a couple of 12's (Original and an SLT) and picked up the 15 last year. I really like the 12 on top of the 15, better then the 2 12's stacked. The 15 adds more depth and breath. They play well together for sure. I still want to try a 210 on top but the 12 does an admiral job.

I find though that the 15 by itself is pretty complete and has been my single cab solution for this year. I've done a bunch of outdoor gigs and have 100% single cabbed it with the 15.

I use the Q in the effects loop of the subway DI. I run a post feed to FOH on the mic-level xlr out that is pre-fx loop. I practice with an FRFR setup and run an FRFR cab or IEMs. The q lets me adjust stage or IEM eq/filtering independent of what's being shipped to FOH. The line-level out goes to a power amp or iem solution. Super cool pedal for that, and super cool use of the fx loop on the Subway+ DI.

You really do. I can send the exact tone I want to foh (high/low pass filters instead of a cab sim), get great nearly-always-on OD tone from the 4otF pedal and it's built in filter and blend options, gnarly distortion from the crashbox with the same blend/ filter capability, and c be able to tweak onstage or iem feed via the Q and not change my feed to FOH. Pretty ideal really.

One thing worth noting. The Q is ran at 18v. It handles the line level signals of the mesa effects loop with ease. I consulted with @agedhorse prior to trying this. Works great.

Maybe I should rethink my DI/IEM aboard. The EQ with filters for “cab sim” is awesome. Either of the drive pedals - or both - would be great. Run to my REDDI would be fantastic. Wouldn’t fit on a Nano any more though.

My new 2-10 SLT and 4-10 cabinets arrived and got to use them on a couple of gigs this week. When the bone player tells me that this is the best bass rig he has heard, I know that I’ve got something special!

with the 410-3 on top for the full SLT action! The Bone player in

Looking to pick up a PJB Suitcase. I played one at a gig and it actually impressed me. So, I am going to downsize even more and pick one of those bad boys up. However, this one will need to be rehomed to fund the new combo

Yeah, that is a very different direction. I’m not sure what to do. Most of my playing is DI/IEM so my MG350/112TV combo at 27 pounds and a footprint of about 16” square is hard to beat for the 6 times a year I use an amp.

Weird setup last night so was just going to go with the IEM rig. After soundcheck, my BL said he's not feeling me so I ran and pulled out the BA-15 and set it up away from me but where he'd hear/feel it. The best thing about it was the look the sound guy gave me when I "tested" it to make sure it was working. I hit a low B and his head swung around with a big smile and he said, "That thing sounds amazing! I like it!"

Me too, sound guy. Me too.

Yes! The 15-3, IMHO, is very underrated. Everyone who hears mine is very impressed and surprised.

I get that. In addition to my Genzler rig (15, 210, 800head) I have two PJB C4s and a small GR mini bass head. I find the combinations and flexibility to be nothing short of perfection. I can't imagine a better collection for everything from home practice to small gigs to large venues. I can mix and match and not kill myself lifting gear or beating up my car. I am devoted to both brands and think they complement one another very nicely. Good luck!

Started tweaking the CrashBox and found a really grindy tone using a p with TI flats. Bet it will sound great with my active pj with rounds.
Again still finding great tones in this pedal.
