Yes and keep in mind you can expand much further with the bigger head/cab combo. If it's not going to break you go for the 800/12 array combo...IMO
And there is nothing wrong with using the 800 in smaller practice/venue. It is also very small and light...

I concur with this. I did a loud rock open Mic with the 800 and a single 12-3 and everyone marveled over how easily that combo handled itself. I ended up buying a second 12-3 just because. I recently provided the stack as a back line for a loud bar gig and not only did the sound guy take the bass out of the front of house, I had to turn the amp down twice because it was still so present in the mix, even with two guitarists, a loud drummer and vocals.

As I tell my hi-fi customers, all I do is sell them great gear and set it up properly. They ultimately have control of the volume. Sounds great at any level.

I know, right? The gig I just did was a fairly large event room - much more of a concert than a bar type gig - full PA - and we chose to not put the bass in the mains and I had much headroom left.

Th problem is that all of Jeff's stuff is awesome. I am struggling with getting either the 350 combo/10-2 mini stack or an 800/BA12-3. I use an amp for home practice and pick up jazz trio/quartet gigs so I don't need a really loud or big rig, but I want it to sound good, more on the FOH side than a traditional bass rig.

I can't help but chime in, mostly because I like spending other folks' money!

I say the 350/mini-stack-o'-doom. The 10-2 rocks. It's clear as a bell and very loud for it's size. Two should be all you need. One for smaller gigs, two for bigger stuff.

I've been using the 10-2 "monitor style" at my church gig. While the stage volume isn't very loud, it ain't soft, either. The little 10-2 keeps up and cuts nicely with room to spare. I use an octave pedal quite often on the gig and, again, the little 10-2 doesn't bat an eye. It's super easy to schlep and looks nice, too.

I think the bottom line is that you can't go wrong.
I use the mg800 with a single ba12-3 and haven't run into situation where it was not enough for me and from your description I think you'd find the same. I love the way it sounds.
I expect the 350 with 2 10-2's might be a little louder because of the additional cone area but I would also expect a bit more bottom from the 12...

What I like about my Shuttle stack: handle on top, tuner out with small korg tuner velcroed to the amp. Small, easy and fairly loud. Nice sound if not a little boxy/mid forward.

The 350 can be attached and there is a handle on the cab, but maybe not quite as handy as the Shuttle. No tuner out which is kind of a thing as I don't usually use my board when I do non PA gigs. Not sure how I would attach one on the 800 or BA12-3 either so...

Maybe I just need another tuner pedal and to get used to something different.

Has anyone out there tried running the MG350 with both a BA10-2 and a BA12-3 at the same time? I've got the MG350/BA10-2 combo but am considering getting the BA12-3 for bigger spaces or to run as a supplemental cabinet. Wondering what that combination would sound like. Thanks.

An option might be to get a Radial Bigshot I/O, which would give you a way to run your tuner and also gives you a mute footwsitch and an A/B box.

Can you atach a tuner pedal to the top of either the 800 or 350, via some velcro? I know, it's one more thing to plug in/unplug, or worry about a battery. I'm the same way: Less is more when it comes to schlepping and set up and tear down.

I DO think you quest for a tone similar to your IEM sound will end if you get the new Genzler stuff. Great product. It's a good mix of "flat" and "usable bass tone".

(IMO, YMMV, etc etc......But I'm right! )

The Barn is doing a summer dance there, with us playing it. They normally shut down from May through August.
