Not resisting GAS pains, just wondering why so many are selling them when I like mine so much. I'd say different strokes but that seems like an oversimplification. I guess the only real answer is that other guys are looking for something different... But I suppose that's just a big win for those of us in the market!

Yep. I think the 350 combo is more in line with my NEEDS but a good price on a slightly used 800 sure is tempting. You can always turn down, right?

I don't know. There is a lot of turnaround of all kinds of good gear on here all the time. It's a new amp so people try it, maybe not for them and move on. How many great P basses are for sale at ay given time? Why would anyone sell a P bass, right? Take advantage. Someone else took the initial hit (which is still pretty reasonable all things considered) and give it a try for yourself.

I know I have purchased alot of really great gear and sold shortly after mainly for the endless quest of seeing what is better. I've purchased 6 Genzler 800 heads and sold most mainly trying to see what's better and have always come back. My wife says I have a sickness lol.

Well for me I think there is only 3 real choices for heads for me anyway. Genzler (which I have now), Bergantino, and DNA. All seem great and I may try the other two(as I intended to do originally), but I'm so happy with the genz I'm not sure I will bother

One of the best built in DI's out there!
I generally end up using a separate DI box (always in the chain) not only to send a signal to the board, but to also have some sort of backup in place in case of an amp failure. Is there any reason why manufacturers don't incorporate a quality DI that would also work if the amp fails?

There would have to be 2 isolated power supplies with two isolated pre-circuits - not practical.
An inexpensive DI for backup is what I have carried in the past. Although now most times I also have a backup amp that has a DI and really don't need the dedicated DI.

Had a chance to play the 350 & 800 with the 12-3 cab yesterday. Amazing! The 12 is a very serious cab capable of some pretty serious low end volume. I was hoping to try the 10" cab as well. Has anyone compared the 10 vs 12?

Yes.
Both have their strong points. For me, the 10 has it's place as the COMBO 350/10 has a carry bag that fits anywhere and is extremely convenient for small gigs. I do prefer the 12 - it has deeper voicing and will do higher SPL. The 10 has perhaps a bit more high end clarity. But if I have a small gig, even though I prefer the 12, it is difficult to pass up the convenience factor of the combo MG350/BA110-2.

Thanks. The combo seems hard to beat. Easy to add 2 additional cabs to make a stack for bigger gigs.

And to further confuse the issue , the MG350 drives the BA112-3 pair to a (rock)(IMO) Gig-able level; or the MG800 would drive the BA110-2 times 3 to a (rock) Gig-able level.

Yes I've tried 1-3 of the 12-3 arrays at various times and finally settled on using 2 of them 90% of the time. It handled anything I ever needed gig wise. You can definitely tell it fills the room better with 2 over 1.

I agree with campbems. Bigger. If using just one an amp stand is what I would suggest. But two allow one to do most any kind of gig. I used two at a gig in a large venue room and it was easily heard and the sound was cohesive out in the audience. And I had plenty of headroom left. I've used one and it kept up with guitar players and drummer just fine, but two really makes it easier to hear and two 12's coupled together have a certain majic (bigger).

I have not tried the MG350 with BA110-2(x3). One thing I would think about is the physicality of stacking 3 of these. Not sure how ergonomic they would be. It would depend if they were braced properly. I have not done so and my statement was based on the fact that when I used 2 I easily kept up with two 412 cab guitarists and drummer (rehearsal only) - so projection of this into using 3 of the BA110-2's is that 3 would make achieving SPL balance easier. The practical consideration is the actual stacking. One may find it as easy to carry two BA112-3. I think for me, if I needed more SPL than two BA110-2s would produce, I would use the BA112-3 x 2.

You definitely should! I concur with the opinions above. The coupling of two of them just adds this little something wonderful. But you can't have either of mine!!
