In relation to these posts, I just found a really wonderful combination that I hadn’t tried yet:
BA-110 Series 2 on top of
BA-210 SLT
The two complimented each other really really nicely, with a bigger bottom than two of the stacked single tens, with a fuller sound, and more growl and articulation than the BA-110 on top of the BA–112, which I also love… it was a bigger yet tighter low end, and the upright bass in particular sounded better with the set up.
I think the BA-110 and BA-112 is hard to beat for electric bass only, but this BA-110 on top of the BA-210 was better to my ears for upright.
So far, I think I’m finding that the BA–210 is the one I would keep if I could only have one for both electric and upright bass. I did try my brand new series 2
BA-410 and I will report more on that later… it needs some more time to break in and have my ears adjust. I will also report back after I have tried the series 2
BA-110 double stack… the series 2 10” driver has much more low end and I can’t wait to try out my new Acoustic Array Pro S2 combo when it comes next Wednesday!
