Genzler Amplification ! New Genz Benz ?

I'm a little late to the party but I'm excited to see this news. Jeff Genzler is the most respected person in this industry IMO. He stands behind what he does, he is not afraid to be creative, and he is not afraid to break the rules. I'm totally excited to see hopefully some cabs coming down the pike. I really need to get a nice 1x12 or maybe two to go back with my Shuttle 9.0. I had to sell off some stuff as my wife was diagnosed with the big angry c word we don't mention and it has taken a toll.

As far as previous products my Shuttle 9.0 may very well be buried with my I love that thing so. I would love to have an amp that did what the combination of my Shuttle 9.0 did with the booteek 1x12 cabs I had that functioned as a combo with that kind of power into 8 ohms.
My thoughts to you and your wife. All the best.

Well I just received the 'Sneak peek' email with pics and details on the new cabs. I'm not gonna share here unless Jeff says it's ok, but let's just say the BA 12-3 is NOT what anyone would ever expect!

This is now public information to be shared.
Thanks all
Jeff

Thanks for posting this info! Very interesting stuff, especially the Bass Array. I also anticipate "MG-212T vs. CN212" threads in the not-too-distant future.

The 12-3 leaves me baffled. Yeah the pun is intended.
As a pretty much newb regarding cab design it doesn't maker any sense to me.
Anyone to shed light on the peculiarities of this kind of design?

The larger the speaker cone the narrower the mid frequency (to the sides of straight on center) are "projected". The vertical "line" array of smaller mids will give a wide horizontal beam and wide vertical beam for the important mid and upper frequencies. It is a very interesting idea/concept for a bass cab. Might double well in a PA application also.

Does having the vertical array in the middle of the woofer enhance /reinforce this effect?

As a previous G-B owner (Streamliner, NEOX, and UBER cabs) I'm sure these new products will blow peoples minds.

And I'm betting the BA12-3 would be great for upright, at least my upright, which tends to need mid boosting all the time.
