Ok, a little more detail:
First of all, this is the first lightweight amp I've played that doesn't "feel" or sound like a lightweight. There is a heft to the notes, and it really feels like it has headroom to spare. I left it flat all night, and it sounded killer on the clean channel. Every note spoke with authority, and more importantly, clarity. I'm very excited to spend more time with it to get to know its capabilities more. Also, my sound tech was very happy with the DI signal, too.
The cab......holy crap! This part *really* took me, and my band mates, by surprise. The deep, clear, tight lows that this little box puts out are amazing. No boom at all, just awesome clarity. The tweeter was very sweet sounding, not harsh like the horn in my Eden cab was. I never would have thought that this cab was capable of putting out this much sound....
I'm not into the fancy reviews, going into great detail about frequencies, dispersion, etc. For me, either an amp works, or it doesn't. If I don't like the sound of a rig set flat, I'm done. And I'm telling you, I loved the sound of the MG800/MG212T last night, set totally flat, in an actual live setting (2 guitars, steel, banjo, acoustic drums, fiddle).
