I know both products are highly regarded, just wondered if anyone has tried both and had any opinions they could share, for example, which was the louder cab, and which handled a low B, best. TIA.

Genzler uses Faital drivers which are top notch and easily comparable to Barefaced.
I would believe the Genzler 2x10 would be louder than 1 Barefaced 1x10T
That said; I am considering a Barefaced 1x10T along with 1X10[no tweeter] for my next upgrade
[Genzler BA 210, Mesa Subway and Revsound still on list]
Which should have ability to play louder and cleaner at those volumes than Genzler
keyword 'Should'
The Genzler BA10-2-S2 has one 10” speaker. I know, the way their speakers are named is a little confusing.
The 2x10” is called the BA 210-3.
Yes. The 210 & 12 inch first generation bass arrays used Faital speakers. I believe the 110 had a Jensen woofer, but in any case it was not the same as the driver in the 210. The current series 2 cabs have another “Italian made” driver with no mention what it is. I have a series one BA10-2 and it punches way above its weight. All of the reports are that the series 2 improves on it - lighter weight, broader frequency response, higher power handling.27350070[/URL], member: 62632"]Yes Bad assumption on my part about 210-3[ forgot about 1x10]; A BA1x10-2-SA may give Barefaced slight volume advantage but not necessarily overall performance.
BA 1X10 uses 'Italian Design' driver but no mention of Faital

FWIW, I see no reason to think the Barefaced would give you higher volume. If anything, I’d expect that for the Genzler given the added speaker surface area provided by the four 2.5 inch speakers.
I’ll second that emotion! I also love my Magellan 800. If I’m doing a gig where portability is an issue, I’ll bring that instead of my Shaw B150. If I was going to buy a portable rig in only one name brand it would be a Magellan 800 with 3 Genzler 210 cabs…however, I’ve gotta say that this Shaw/Barefaced rig is incredible!I have owned a Barefaced Two10 and currently have 2 Genzler BA10-2 Series 2s. Overall volume will be similar with a slight edge going to the barefaced. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a clean and accurate sound, the Genzler is the choice to make. Build quality is also much higher with the Genzlers. The Barefaced has a more classic sound that is baked in and gets quite grindy as the volume increases. The Genzlers are almost studio monitor like, but with added warmth. I have tried MANY combinations of amps and cabs, including multiple variations of both the Genzler and Barefaced units, and for me, 1-3 Genzler BA12-2 V2 with the MG350 is the perfect setup. That said, the Barefaced 610 setup I had with a Shaw B150 tube amp sounded glorious.
I have owned both....had 2 of the BA110 and now have 2 BF one10s (one with tweet). Neither cab will provide deep bass at loud gig volume IME. Both provide good upper bass (60Hz and up). If you want crisp highs for slap, drum machine, etc, the Genzlers are fine but you'd need the BF110 with an optional tweet. The BF cabs definitely have a higher volume ceiling. Even one BF 110 can cut it in a rock or blues setting with a reserved drummer if pushed, but that didn't work for me with 1 BA110. With the pair, both are enough IME. The Genzlers are much clearer and cleaner. BF is for those enjoying paper cone breakup-more old school tone..high end of the Genzlers is a thing of aural beauty that I don't really need. I also have a Nu Classic stack for when I want the full pants flapping experience![]()
Just an observation, if you had the original BA10-2’s, the Series 2 version out now should give more bottom end and slightly different top end and will take more power. I haven’t played one of the Series 2’s nor one of the BF’s so can’t speak beyond what Jeff Genzler is saying re: the Series 2 in the Genzler thread.I have owned both....had 2 of the BA110 and now have 2 BF one10s (one with tweet).
