"...being strictly neutral, I licked everyone in sight"

Or, in my own case...my father's people were Hutchisons from Edinburgh, and my mother's were O'Neils from Carlow. Certain periods of history leave me very conflicted. And I'm old enough that even in certain parts of the US it mattered. My mother's home town, Emmettsburg Iowa, has a statue of Robert Emmett in the town square...complete with a noose.
My last name’s Wyatt and my mother, a catholic, gave me the middle name Thomas.... Religion is messy; tubes are good.

I usually say something like "radical human"

My granda used to say that you should only discuss religion in church, money in a bank, and politics in a bar. There's only one of those three I ever go to, so...

So a man walks into a bar with a parrot on his shoulder. The bird swallowed his watch and all it wants to talk about is polytics.

Might one ever wish to hear the trick or treaters really squeal

hand out gobs of those Japanese shrimp candies, seaweed candies, and don't forget the cuttlefish flavour candies! A lot of excitement too, handing out salted, dried cuttlefish snacks as bonuses. A Halloween the children will never forget!

You won't forget it either when your gaff gets......errrrm.....decorated?....

I don't know who is being referred to when I hear "they say". And as if it's to be expected I might know who "they" are (I don't), and automagically bow to the insight of what "they say". Better to keep my ear to the ground, and there's a joke under the "ear to the ground" that I daresn't repeat lest a sensitive soul take umbrage.

What I notice in a lot of these old blues legends is the prevalence of the supernatural. What all are them folks doing in those swamps, anyway? Will-o-the-wisp, Goethe cautions we follow Puck at our own peril  And who doesn't like a good hair-raiser (I heard one that's pretty durn good but all the actors are off stage now).

It's a dark, rainy day. I got a new Peterson pedal Strobostomp HD tuner delivered today. Very good performance and I can see the screen on the floor which is good. Highly recommend it.

Kinda big, no? And has feet, how do you ̶V̶e̶l̶c̶r̶o̶ hook-and-loop?

No feet, a silicone slab is used for the base. No hook-and-loop attachment attempts. This is the only pedal only the floor for me so no board is used. With floor space, size doesn't really matter. I suppose that it's a tradeoff between me being able to see the screen and not. Bigger is better in my case. The display can be set to always on or ony one when you stomp on it.

There is a hook-and-loop solution on their site. They seem to be saying to clean the silicone then apply industrial self sticking velcro. Should that fail to adhere well, the silicone slab can be peeled off and the velcro attached directly onto the metal case. It might work better if the silicone were roughed up first so the self adhesive has something to bite into.

Some 'velcro' does not stick well to the bottom of my StroboStomp HD:

This is a common issue for guitar pedals. The silicone rubber base at the bottom of the pedal can prevent some standard brands of 'velcro' from adhering properly.
To help, the rubber pad can be cleaned thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and let dry. Then, use a heavy-duty (or industrial) hook and loop type fastener. We recommend 3M Dual Lock tape. Let the tape cure at least 4 hours before trying to pull it for maximum adhesion.

As a last resort, the rubber bottom can be removed. Store it in the box with the serial label for future reference.
