Surf music won't die! I have a complete recording of Dick Dale's last appearance in Denver, 2018. I was sitting at a table 20 feet from the band with a digital stereo recorder. I'm also working on a surf and blues band in Fort Collins; my problem is finding a new guitarist who can play surf. It's a rare skill today.

Just when I wondered how both the surf craze and monsters craze co-exist on the same timeline. The whole monster / surf thing also had a secret agent component to it. Now I'm afraid to post images I shoot

General rule of thumb, never post anything in a state of undress. With me it's usually feet.

And yet there was a drag racing thing that made it to The Munsters. Herman and Grandpa went to the drag strip. Formula 1 racing peaked by the mid-50s.

Somehow surf music and kaiju (new term to me, but I get it) makes sense to me on some level I'd rather not explore. Doesn't seem all that far from David Lindley.

Big difference IMHO, between music ABOUT surfers, like Surf City, Catch a A Wave, Surfin USA...and music FOR surfers, like Miserlou, Pipeline.
