I was a barman for a while back in the UK....

Ladies toilets, generally speaking, were much MUCH worse than men's....

(I swear that some of 'em must have stood on the seat to go!!!).....

Some women were taught as children that sitting on a public toilet seat is unsanitary. So they hover instead. Results being what you would expect.

It isn't unusual for women to be using the men's washroom. Especially fathers with their daughters who don't want them on their own. When the line for the lady's is too long, people don't think twice. The problem is, with urinals, there are usually less stalls in the men's room.

Was back in the airport yesterday. I didn't have time to check out the animal washroom. This is the one in San Diego (from the net).

Flat box....less bulky.........

Used most of them as papers as could find plenty puff but papers?....not so much...

You can imagine the taste and the hilarity caused by trying to roll them..........

The six of us were barely unloaded and in our rooms when our driver was gone with the coach and all the TP. Shockingly uncommon occurrence, I know.

Lower gastrointestinal distress is exhausting enough without added thrills from TP shortages.

... and recalling a mountaineer who took care to drink only from sealed bottles en route to K2. Drank from a bottle of Coke he bought at some curry shack. Mid-drink he wondered how it could possibly be so cold with no ice to be seen. Poked around the back of the place to find the bottles were kept in a small stream that was also used for, well, everything.

They didn't exist back when my difficulties were underway.....

Besides.....you can't roll a with a Wet Wipe.........

You can wipe your face and hands with Kleenex wipes but never your flats. According to Stephen Stills, you want your strings deadened with chicken grease. Don't clean them.

By some unexpected chance, putting mileage on brand new La Bella Low Tension Flats. Flats are an alien experience for me. But I kind of think most things around these parts are an alien experience for me.

When I put first put flats on by PBass, my amp shouted, YES! this is it.

Liking the sound of the third and fourth strings. Understand the first and second strings take time.

Maybe stretching them will help. Maybe you need to get used to the sound as well. If they are too loud or bright, lowering the pickup on that side might help. Bridge intonation might also be required with a different set of strings. Sometimes when a sound isn't right, the cause of the problem may not be what you first suspected, ie it's the strings.....

Acoustically, the E string (Hofner flats) on my 500/1 just makes a dull thump thump sound but when plugged in to an amp the string sounds good, like the others. I've always found that odd.

The strings settled in well and hold their tune overnight within a few cents. Likely me getting used to them. The first two strings sing pretty sweetly up around the 12th fret.

Took time when I did put on the set to check the neck relief at the 5th fret (.010), string height at the 17th fret (5/64") and the intonation. The floating bridge looks a bit strange but 12th fret intonation is spot on <shrug>

I have some Dunlop flats hanging in my bedroom for the occasion when I'm in the mood for precision+flats.
