My cholesterol numbers are spot on. My paternal grandfather (father said) found great satisfaction in the skin and fat of roast lamb. And not one to disagree here. "Leftover lamb" is a phrase seldom heard in my world. And I take care there is always harissa in the house when there is lamb on my plate.

The Church would have killed me had I been found eating that sort of thing in Spain 400 years ago. Couscous? We want a word with you. By my reckoning, I'm living a life well-lived in the freedom of doing anything The Church would have killed me for 400 years ago. :D

You get to order your own food?

Yes...well usually.

We have a plan when we go out. She picks the restaurant....and I pay the bill.
She says so far (30 years) it is working fine.

My wife likes a wide variety of food. She will take chances when trying things on the menu.
I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy.
Vegetables? The only thing green I eat is jello.

Getting a fake ID so I can order from the kid's menu.

Checked the new flatwounds today. They were rather high. Checked the neck relief, perfect. Dropped the bridge almost to the deck on the fourth string. Adjusted the intonation. I actually like doing this. For my own bass, that is. I know how I want it to play so I adjust it for that.

Don't forget about the senior's discount.

It's amazing how many players don't want to set up their instruments. It makes such a difference when it's adjusted to your liking.

Speaking of seniors ... <deep breath> made the decision coming into this 64th year to let my hair go gray. After I use the last of the henna, that is. Figure I've enough henna for two more applications. And on that very subject

What I find when the gray shows if I take too long between henna touch ups is I'm automatically given a senior discount at the donut shop. Touch up my roots, go to the same donut shop, no automatic discount.

Don't go kicking and screaming, maybe it will go white.

Don't be afraid to ask for the discount, they never card you. Besides kids today can't do the math. Discounts start at 60 at some places.
