This is the second year of giving up winter driving. It isn't about the snow and ice. I don't want deal with winter tires and washing the car every time I take it out. Parking is indoors so it has to be kept clean or it will rust. I drive less the days and can take a bus, subway, taxi, or train locally.

Congratulations on giving up driving in winter non-wonderlands! I love living in the country, but one of the trade-offs is that you have to provide your own transport system. I subscribe to an automatic car wash and use it when the temps are above freezing. Mine gets parked just outside my basement door. No rust yet, but like Neil Young says, that stuff never sleeps...

...Carried a gray card anyway :cautious: Sold the lot some years back when it was clear film was come and gone. To me, the M6 was the stuff dreams are made of. Edit what I really wanted was a Leica CL ....
I still have my grey card (never used it, though so all is good :D).

I too, sold my camera system when I saw the big digital wall looming on the (very near) horizon. I already had my Canon 30D at the time so I was still good to go (for these modern times).

I won't tell you about the two Leica CL bodies I had, along with the 40mm Summicron and 90mm Tele-Elmarit-M............
Tri X Pan. Now you are taking me back to my Pentax 500 days with the screw on zoom lens. Made me set my RolleiFlex aside for about a minute.
;[)
Mmm, Rolleiflex! I had a 3.5E for some years that I used, mostly, with Konica 750 IR film and Rollei red filter (Wratten #29), but occasionally, with TMX or HP5+, as in these photos (the Ilford film in these photos).

Mine was the one in the middle with the 75mm Planar.

My grump today is why would anyone take a Fender Mahogany Jazz Body and route a split coil section between the 2 Jazz pickups? Fender only made them for 3 years 1977-1980. That wood is darn hard to form plugs. It is like "I am going to take my '58 Gold Top and Paint it Purple". I guess sense ain't common anymore.
File file file- Sand sand sand.
Grump
Kirk Douglas RIP.

I would route a bigger area rather than trying to match the route that is there, similar to below but you can see what I mean. It would be expensive.

RIP Mr. Douglas. You were one of my childhood heroes. There aren't many real Hollywood heroes anymore.:cigar:

I told my daughter that Kirk Douglass passed away and she said "I don't know who that is!" I said WHAT?! That's like not knowing who John Wayne is! The she said Oh Yeah Isn't That Michael Douglass Dad? I just threw my hands in the air and went back to filing. Kidz these days!
