No, but David Lynch certainly has.

I met him once, out in front of Tower Records on Westwood Blvd in the mid '80s. :)

I saw today I can pre-order the new Bill & Ted movie on DVD now. And you know, it's very, very tempting.
Make sure it comes with Eraserhead. Not sure why that film came to mind just now.

Back to tablets for a moment..............

We have a few of those around here. I see one now as I turn my head towards the living room! Years ago I made a faithful rendering of Yosemite Valley from Discovery View on an Etch-A-Sketch. Perhaps, not quite as accurate as this drawing, though, but, close. ;)

Me too, haven't gone in years.

People make the experience quite unpleasant. I got fed up with kids on their phones and talking out loud to one another during the movie. Then there's those with screaming babies that insist that they have every right to disturb everyone else.
And most theater staff isn't paid enuff to care enuff to kick people out.

Hollywood knows that theatres are dying a slow death. Disney announces then keeps delaying the release of The Beatles re-jig of "Let It Be" to a time which will optimize their cash intake. Their greed is embarrassing.

Big screen TV's and streaming are the last nail in the theatre coffin. At some point, maybe they'll wake up and convert movie houses into live music venues that feature afternoon art films.

Mini Mouse was born November 18, 1928. Yoko was born February 18, 1933. By Hollywood's standards, they'll need to find someone much younger. Here's an audition, it's a cat and mouse game.

On the Let It Be set.

Scarier than Eraserhead, in its own way.

For some reason, watching the second video reminded me of Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love video, with the non-musicians pretend-playing as a prop for the video.

Yeesh, "Let It Be" was a bad flick when it was originally released. Do they really think there's enough money to do it again?

They want back to the source, restored it, and had Peter Jackson recut it and produce a new movie. It also includes an enhanced rooftop concert. The audio has been restored and remixed by Giles Martin. It will be a very different film. It's the last big Beatles item that hasn't been re-released and they want to cash in. Coinciding with the theatrical release will be a number of related box sets at different price points.

They don't want to release it till the older crowds with the money are covid safe and are willing to flock to theatres. Hence the multiple delays.
