Made me immediately think about Colonel Mustard in kitchen with a hot pastrami on rye...
In New York they call that a heart attack on rye
but oh so good

"August," I thought, nope, too soon for oysters and getting late on tomatoes, so, hey come back next week? Did that, no oyster BLT special. In our local supermarket, they're now selling Boars' Head meat and condiments. Also sandwiches. They make these thick sandwiches with roast beef, pastrami, turkey, etc. The Boar's Head deli meat is incredible. The sandwiches look like a commercial they're so stacked with meat and cheese. We've been on a kick where we've been buying a couple sandwiches a week. I tried their pastrami and it was delicious. We finally figured out to buy the cheese and meat and use our own bread and dressings and we'd save more. Still for a quick lunch or dinner, the sandwiches are great. Now @Al Kraft I want a pastrami sandwich!![]()

Sometimes when I walk by places like this, I look at the people in line outside and think, "you're all going to die." I like a slice of tomato in mine. You gotta have the slaw, a dill pickle, and fries.

You gotta have the slaw, a (half or all) sour pickle, and fries.

Watching Food Network, et al, I've noticed that various places try to make the biggest ______ Sammich. If I can't get it in my mouth-which isn't small-without separating it, it ain't a sammich no mo'.I agree. That much of a samich is overkill. That much of a half a samich is overkill too.
How about the hard-wired toilets that don't flush when the power goes out?The "battery union" forced all the buildings in my town to switch to battery-operated soap and paper towel dispensers, which IMO is a waste of $$, bad for the environment, and a royal pain when they die.
Please (insert deity of your choice)!Have you noticed no genius has sold a battery-operated TP dispenser?
"The Bums Rush" great band name.
Hardly, accidental!Posted to the Accidental Band Names thread!
I'd also cause consternation by putting mayoWatching Food Network, et al, I've noticed that various places try to make the biggest ______ Sammich. If I can't get it in my mouth-which isn't small-without separating it, it ain't a sammich no mo'.
If I knew I was going to Katz's-or a similar deli-I'd pack a zip-loc in my pocket and take about 1/2 the pastrami/corned beef off for later.
I'd also cause consternation by putting mayo-and mustard-on it.
I'm not a big seafood fan, but that looks amazing. The manliest sammich dates at least to The Dagwood and probably back to the last ice age.
I carry a fake ID to order from the children's portion menu. (retread joke) okay I know a few places that offer half portions. A few places that aren't open right now .... I like the wee fish and chips.
One of the great inventions(?) of our time is Hellmann's Dijonnaise. I've been known to take a squeeze bottle with when going to a sammich joint. Little local hot dog place. Chili, cheese, and onion dog with Dijonnaise(or horseradish mustard) and tater tots.NOOOOOOO!!! Spicy brown mustard is the only acceptable choice!!!
Now I'm consternated!
Just how long do you plan on living, anyway?Sometimes when I walk by places like this, I look at the people in line outside and think, "you're all going to die."
