Fighting back against butt rash today. South end of my house, kitchen and enclosed breezeway get boiling hot an the AC cant keep up. Just finished East and West storm doors on the breezeway and all but two small windows in kitchen. Its 10 deg F warmer today, yet 20 deg cooler on the breezeway. Amazing stuff.

Ok.. so I am out this morning yaking on the phone.. when all of a sudden I had a visitor.. he hung around for a while.. my mother whom I moved in last year (She is 80 now) wanted to call the pound and have them come get him.. who knows how long that would have taken anyway.. but I told her that I didn't want to do that.. cuz I know what would happen to him there.. that I would rather see him or her, which ever be the case, have a fighting chance out here.. I have had three litters of bunnies that I have know of in my back yard.. so I figured.. this one would have a chance too..

Hmmm, teenage wasteland? Anyway, cool you're letting him be a "squatter" on your property. Used to be a bunch of them in my back yard but I haven't seen any in a couple of years. Then again, the toad that lives in my front yard may have chased them away.

Well I did git dinner, fur it and fur me!
I see one in my back yard once in a while that is about twice a big as the other wild wabbits and is colored about half greyish like the others and the rest is white with black patches, like a furry little moo cow. Can never get a good pic, because she's very timid. Looks big and healthy too.

I hate first lawn mowing in the spring if the grass is out of hand as usual. I walk all over looking for nests yet it never fails. I'll be mowing along and thwop a thwop wop wop I see a trail of bunnies fly out the grass shoot :( in the tall grass it takes a while to find all the little puff balls and put them back in the hole. Mamma wabbit must be a good mom, because I never had one get hurt by the mower and never found one dead after mowing up the nest.

Good thing that you don't have a mulching mower.

As a kid, I was always in competition with a groundhog. We would both wait for that optimally ripe tomato in the garden, most often I would show up with a salt shaker to find that they got to it before I did.

Okay, I'm sitting (laying) here happily recovering from my knee replacement surgery. Hell, even the physical therapist calls me her poster child. I am able to walk with a cane for a little bit. And last night my wife made her delicious buffalo wings. And as I am enjoying my supper my molar breaks in half (yes I swallowed it). ***!!!!
I don't have the budget for a $1200 crown or even an $800 extraction. Especially considering that when I get back home to the Philippines my dentist charges only $250 for a crown and extractions are FREE!
So I am doing the Filipino self dental method with an emory board from my wife's makeup kit to remove the sharp edges and just suck it up for the next five weeks until I get back home.
