That is precisely what Dr. Odin offers as first order healing. Even now, when the incision points are long closed and healed, that's what he like to lick. He'll try and follow my foot as I climb under the covers.
To me, being with an animal who cares about you is enough healing to do the trick.

I used to do it for my history classes.
With regard to retirement (a few pages back)...our district had a buy-out in 2006. I was only 56, but they gave me my state pension, plus a 30k bonus to go the hell away. SS kicked in at 62 and Medicare at 65.
Learning music? I was a drummer in HS, sang with a folk group. Took up guitar around age 30, still playing a lot of folk and strumming blues rhythm...total hackery. A guy told me that my time and beat were better than my picking, and I should try bass. Since he'd once had Jerry Garcia playing gass in his band, I listened to him.

Dude with the flame maple burst guitar sure sweats a lot. Good thing it's only a Levy's.
I know a guy that wore a tight fitting leather suit when he performed. He would be drenched. He claimed that he played better when he was hot. SRV wore leather as well, not sure if that was a Texas thing.
