Today is our wedding anniversary. Which one you may ask?

OMG! Mine too. 25 years this year. Thanks to COVID, our cruise to Hawaii set for April got cancelled. Re-booked for next January though. Like 12bitslab, I managed to land a great girl waaaay out of my league. Got it right the second time around...;):cool:

And big grats, too, for getting married on Beethoven's birthday!

Whee, huge congratulations to you and Mrs. uh, Smallbeautifulwoman! Many happy returns to you!

So I need a single speaker baffle screw for a tweed Fender Bassman amp. Can’t find one locally. It’s a special fastener with a bronze type plating. My goto Fender parts guy in Raleigh, North Carolina has them in stock, $3.80 each. Of course while online, I buy a couple of other parts that I don’t need right now. In the end, total damage to my wallet is $50.

This is one reason why I hate that I couldn’t get the part locally!

I can't remember its name, but that might be where I bought the Bakelite pickguard for my Tele, maybe a half dozen years ago. If you weren't aware of Angela Instruments Angela Instruments LLC you might like to poke around there.

So, it's the old blame it on the goto Fender parts guy in Raleigh, North Carolina excuse, eh?

Thanks. I’ve dealt with Steve at Angela in the past for parts. He sold me a Hofner bass in the 80’s which I still have.

The problem with the screw is that many sell knockoff parts. I didn’t want the bronze coming off the first time I put a screwdriver to it. The Fender part doesn’t do this. The NC shop is Darren Riley's Guitar & Amp Shop - Raleigh NC. When other’s don’t have it, he often does. Another good source is Amp Repair Parts

Yes, that's the place. Darren Riley's. I bought something else along with the pickguard (don't remember what, either) and they included a few picks that had their name on them with the order. And yes, they were the ones who had the pickguard when I couldn't find it elsewhere. I think someone over at the big Tele forum, TDPRI, put me onto them.

We couldnt get a good picture, but....what this is is a bobcat, sitting in the walkway between the house and the rescue. I spotted it at 7 AM today, and it sat there for a good 5 minutes just looking around, then wandered off into the timber. Very exciting...first time we've seen one here.
