You don't want to know what I paid and sold this for. 
At least, the guy who bought it from me owned this amp years before I did and was thrilled to have it back, so that made up for a lot, really.

An amp that can cook is quite valuable.
Interesting to see how little some acts were paid for their Woodstock performance. Then again, the performance helped take their careers to a new level. I remember Woodstock as the moment things changed in PA technology. The development of high powered large audio systems followed.

I had a model 301 acoustic cabinet w/Cervin Vega 18" (less the amplifier) paired with a Fender Bassman 100 amp back in the 70's. Stock Fender P Bass with half round strings and a foam pad under them near the bridge. I got more compliments on my bass tone back then than ever. It sounded so much better at some distance from the rig than it did from where I was pinned up against it. It felt good standing next to it, though.
New glasses are complicated. People that drink a lot see life through a filtered lens.
I saw Sonny in Worcester, MA with his "orchestra" I was a little disappointed he didn't have a drummer though, only percussion and Bob Cranshaw played electric but I knew that before hand. I wanted to see Monk and all the rest of the 50's guys up there, they were really good though. This a GREAT album. I'm hoping that I can join up with these guys in heaven on upright some day and they won't kick me out.

Couldn't tell you exactly what venue (it was intimate), or who he played with (ignorant of everyone but Sonny), but I saw him on a visit to Boston in ~73-4. To a teenaged me, the night was musical Samahidi.
