I just realized that La Contessa is David Bowie's sister (sorry for spilling the beans on toast).

I was never in a glam rock band. I did play All The Young Dudes though.
I was in a band that played some glam rock. We weren't glam though.

We did "Get Back" as a disco-ish thing. Eighth note octaves in the bass.

Blackie used to be in the New York Dolls.
WASP opened for Stryper way back when at the OC Fairgrounds (I was there) , and now ironically-- Blackie is a Born Again!
Lived next door to Jack Russell and Mark Kendall for a while.
I WAS in Glam bands
dressed the part but no makeup - no spandex. All 6'3" @ 145 lbs of me, in platform stripper boots, leather tie front pants, neon colors, bandanas , cascade ear rings, hair to my waist. Hey it was Hollywood / Orange county in the 80's! **edit** I was also in Heavy,Speed,Death metal bands during the same period (multiple bands) The stage garb was different, leather pants, all black, studs n spikes. Fun when more than one band I was in was on the same bill, not so much when it was the same night, but different venues! Real dance to schedule that! multiple rigs and road crews
