In grade school everyone wanted the Crayola 64 with the built in sharpener on the back. I only got to 48. My parents said the 64 was too expensive. My sister bought a 64 for me some years ago as a joke. The price sticker was $1.28. Geez. We didn't have a lot of money back in the day, but come on! lol.

About a year after sis's 64 box, my wife bought a 96 box for me. Now I'm rolling in crayons! LOL.

I recently bought a box of chalk. Want to use it when tailoring, to mark material such as tolex and tweed for amps and covers. One piece lasts so I’ll be able to have fun on the sidewalk this summer. It doesn’t turn out this well.

I designed many amps with an HP-25...

Bet that there’s an interesting story behind that. I hope that they had someone checking on the cargo from time to time. It’s lonely back there. I imagine that show horses must sometimes travel by air.

I have a couple of pad apps that emulate HP calculators. They have ones for phones as well.

Both Lakes Champlain and Memphremagog border on Vermont and Quebec and are nice places to visit. We used to summer in North Hero, an island in Lake Champlain.

We have a friend who recently sold her 250 acre wooded farm located in a lake (they call it a pond!)in NE Vermont. Her family came over on the Mayflower (documented).

My weather report? I couldn't coax my car all the way up the hill out of my valley. Had to back down. No work for me today...

Sounds like GOF problem, to me...

My weather report is: there is snow on the ground and the streets are frozen over. I am thirty miles from the Gulf of Mexico so that doesn't happen often. Tonight is supposed to be dropping the temperature into the teens (F) which is unheard of here.

This is the Weather (or not) GoDZ payback for all the nice weather you folks have been hogging, down there.

THE CMA does an annual Chalk Festival for kids (and kid-like adults, too).

Nothing like sitting in an engineering class, playing Moon Lander on my HP 41c. I talked the HP distributor in Madison, WI into selling me one direct, before they hit the stores. You should have seen the drool from the other engineering students.

I haven't written a line of code in many years, but I'm still a fan of RPN and the Forth programming language.

Breaking the lead in a pencil that was the size of a tree limb is not an easy thing to do. The pencil probably hung up on a chunk of wood in that crappy tablet paper. The eraser was used to make holes in that paper.

...a totally accurate representation of life in elementary school as I remember it. When I read things like this it makes me wonder why we romanticize "the good old days" quite so much.
