Thank you, science, for making it possible to spend more time in line for takeoff than the total air time from Boston to Dublin. Time on the ground in which the FAs are not permitted to leave their bench-hard jump seats, nor am I permitted to use the head until we're at cruising altitude. By the time we're airborne the queue for the loo may not complete before the return to seats bell comes on.

Small planes are a problem if you have a code brown. At best you get a curtain. Like travelling on the bus, you purge before leaving home. Never use the washroom in a bus station. I’m holding out for teleportation.

Aim higher. Make your traveling cosmic...

Don't scrimp on the pâté

Re missing food: In my last job there were two women who were famous for eating other folks lunches. Whenever a bunch of us decided to order a pizza or something we'd go around the office to see who wanted in. They always declined. But... they always managed to hang around the lunch room to try and scarf up any leftovers. One when confronted offered $1. She was refused. If you left anything remotely edible in the fridge it would disappear by the next day.

One of them, if it was a "Bagel Thursday" would fill up a bag with bagels and take them home.

There was a Chinese restaurant with a buffet next to the office in StL. Good food, inexpensive. There were a couple of rather full figured people from our office that went there regularly. The lady that ran the place told them one day "Don't ever come back! You eat too much and don't leave tip!"
