Also Portland, IN, where my folks were from. Here’s what happened to clam dip. One company corners the market, then when they go out of production, everyone looses.
Same happened with all the record/CD/DVD stores. Not many remain. Vinyl record stores seem to be making a comeback in the neighbourhood. One big retailer remains.

BTW, those Cape Cod kettle chips are really good. Available in some grocery stores. Classic Products - Cape Cod Chips
Some still used and/or 'revived', others dead as a doornail(whatever that is).Common expressions take on a different meaning over time, other times they simply fall out of favour depending on how old you are.

It is, of course, entirely up to the caretaker of the beaver to decide how its fur should be maintained. However-IMO-some that have been shorn(to whatever degree)may look as if they may have been seriously injured and their natural furriness camouflages that appearance. All that Brenda needed was a barber for her beaver.
Particularly, since I don't recall (most) doors being made with nails....dead as a doornail(whatever that is).

The express elevators to the 95th floor of the John Hancock building take 45 seconds to go up and 48 seconds to go down. That's hauling buns! The concoction I call Time Travel Juice is equal parts Blackhaus and brandy, served neat. This fine recipe is courtesy of a bartender at the WTC. The ride up is impressive. Hm. Not visited that memory in a while. What I'm looking at through this lens of time are incredibly fine colleagues.
If I'm going to choose my own lens of time to drop in on, though, it's after hours in Milan. This is teh besto. A stroll back from work for a cold beer and light snacks before we all chill for a few hours. Then come 10:30 or 11 it's dinnertime
There was a law that no building in Milan be taller than the Duomo. I believe that's not true now. What is good is cocktail hour on the roof of my residencia. On a good evening after a rain, the Alps are there, so close ...
