On the subject of fine comestibles, I missed out on a taste of morel mushrooms this year. The weather didn't cooperate and my mushroom guy didn't call me. I have been compensated, though. Between rain showers, I pulled a few of the finest eating fish (crappie) out of my brother's lake yesterday afternoon...
Speckled perch aka crappie are the fish roll sandwich of choice offered at roadside chip stands. Also caught in the winter when ice fishing. Good eating.

I’ve been stuck in elevators more times than I want to count. Two bad incidents come to mimd.
The elevator lost control, went to the top, then fell. The emergency brakes kicked in.
The worst was when too many people jammed in. The elevator got jammed between floors. Fire department had to come, open the door, and we had to climb a ladder and squeeze, crawl out through a small opening. It could have guillotined whoever was crawling through the opening. I cut my leg on some metal on the way through, blood was running down. Then there was a young mom with a newborn. She had to climb the ladder and pass her baby up to a fireman. One older guy had some mental issues that made the situation worse. On the way out he lost his pants, unfortunately was commando, and had to stand their till someone passed them up.
I never get on a full elevator now. If too many push their way on, I play elevator cop or get off and wait for another.

I assume that a reverse martini is wet with the proportions reversed. I like just the olive and lemon twist.

As threatened, I made clam dip. It is still in beta. Memorial Day looms. No parties that I'm aware of. There will be clam dip, though. I never tried avocado toast. Sounds like a new holiday tradition

Oh, geez. That's going to keep me awake tonight trying to figure that out! Could be messy if the avocado is very ripe.
