Has Odin had a taste of them, yet?The two catnip plants I bought in Thor's memory at the Growers' Market are doing well. Fully expect the catnip will take hold here at the edge of the woods. It's an invasive plant, like mint, and bamboo, but it's certainly a friendly plant. Maybe it'll call a mountain lion.
Don't forget to differentiate sake (the drink) from sake (the sushi), especially when ordering such as your favorite Japanese restaurant.Neither do I. Probably better to have sake instead.![]()
This time me so smrt put the catnip plants in the abandoned garden area beyond my office window. It's a pumpkin patch there too, behind a log. Or I hope it is. It has been for the last two years from jack o' lanterns I left there.
with asparagus risottoYeah, and quite a few of the feline persuasion, too!Capnip oil is 10X more effective at repelling mosquitoes than DEET.
Some cat like the effect of meowijuana.

There was a time when, on a bet, I shaved by wiping lighter fluid on my face and lighting it. Not as scary as it sounds. There's a trick to it. Also, at that time I had no hair on my head. Here is how getting rid of unwanted hair was done in the old days

Any takers?
If Odin's ever had a bad dream, I've never seen it. As we sat on the patio this evening watching the sunset, wondered if, for Odin, a bad dream is a dream he is human
I have to say that any time an activity involves setting some part of my body on fire it sounds scary...and the intentional use of an accelerant doesn't make it less so.There was a time when, on a bet, I shaved by wiping lighter fluid on my face and lighting it. ...or a slow night ta a frat house.Sounds like a barracks bet.
Was there alcohol (drinking type) involved? There was a time when, on a bet, I shaved by wiping lighter fluid on my face and lighting it. Not as scary as it sounds. There's a trick to it. Also, at that time I had no hair on my head.
We NYC kids usta squirt a little cigarette lighter fluid out of the small can, light it, and then squirt a steady long flame-thrower stream into the holes where giant 'water bugs' (big flying cockroaches) lived. We despised the big creepy-crawly things (similar to FL's palmetto bugs) and took much pleasure in watching dozens and dozens of them run amok on the street in flames.
And sometimes, in an excess of evil glee, we'd squirt each other...
After Christmas folks would throw their Christmas trees (real ones not that artificial crap) out into the street... ('Put it out onna curb' was the common expression used). Bunching together 6 or 7 of these trees could make a fierce blaze in a local alleyway or empty lot, away from any cars. "Archie Bunker" once related a hilarious story re this, about a neighbor's dumb dog who dragged a disposed Christmas tree back into his owners house. "Only trouble was" Archie goes on to say, "it was on fire..."
Ahhhhh, life in the Bronx in the 40's and 50's... Popular culture usta portray Brooklynites as 'characters'. Sheeeesh, they were Milquetoasts compared to us Bronx denizens!
