Never saw the series, and don't know whether I want to. Afraid it'll mess up the mental pictures I have of everything and everyone. The drawings in the expanded book are bad enough, to me.

Yeah, that can happen. I started reading again today. For me the series brings the book to life. Some details are left out but we didn't think that detracted from the book or the movie.

Some of his books have translated pretty well from book to movie particularly Dolores Claiborne. Kathy Bates was outstanding in Dolores Claiborne (and pretty much anything she is in).

I saw one this past weekend that looked very pregnant. It's belly fur was touching the pavement. She had a collar but that's what happens when you let the cat out. Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.
Doesn't always mean she's pregnant. Sometimes when you neuter a fully grown female her belly gets like that...

My music stand is solid. Many musicians have ones with holes. They make it a bit lighter but I don't see any other advantage.

Won't the notes fall through?

less top-heavy.

Mine can hold a laptop or ipad without any worries. When I bought it, I was concerned that a lighter weight one might not work as well. In hindsight, either would have worked.

My holey music stand has less wind resistance outdoors. Instead of the stand blowing over, the wind goes thru the holes and just blows the book off it. I wouldn’t put anything electronic on it outdoors!

Care for a Shaker music stand?

Shaker Music stand
It would go well with the C.F.A. Voysey table I don't have.

The arrangement of "A Foggy Day" is pretty much done. Sounds pretty good for as much as you can tell from a Finale playback and no drums. The arranging class has been great! Learned a lot of new stuff and ideas. Should be able to have the group play it next week.

Link to the googledrive folder with the score (PDF) and playback (WAV). The WAV file should play from google without a download.

Next step is to turn it into a vocal arrangement. The key will probably have to change. Hope our singer comes back this fall!
