Most TB polls consist of people asking if/how they should spend their money, which color bass/pickguard/strings they should get, or what is the best xxxx?

Since:

1) I never tell anyone how to spend their money or how to live their life,
2) I am colorblind with certain colors,
3) There is no such thing as the best xxxxx - only the best xxxxx for a person,

generally speaking, I don’t participate in polls.

I had an old codger at a gas station flip me off today. I backed out of a parking space and because of the location of the pumps I had to back straight past them before i could cut to turn for the road. As I was backing up some old guy came around the store and nosed in between me and the parked cars I was backing away from. I stopped to let a car get by in the back who was leaving the pump island and the old guy hit his horn and waved me back. I couldn't move so he laid on his horn. When the car behind me was clear I finished my backing maneuver and as soon as there was a little daylight for the old guy he went through it while flipping me off through his side window. I had to laugh.

Maybe he was in a hurry 'cos he doesn't have much time left. (or he hadda poop.)

Just back from transporting two more raccoons across the river...caught while trying to invade the veggie garden. That makes eight in the last month, and the end is not in sight.

Nah. My trail cam shows herds of four or five most nights, and the sizes and markings vary a lot. My release site is far enough that they'd need GPS to get back here.

This is just premium habitat, and I dont even mind them as long as they stay off our berry bushes and vegetables...which are surrounded by both mesh wire and electric fencing. I set the traps inside the garden, and only the really determined prowlers get caught and moved. There's even a buffet of the parrots' leavings about 70 yards from the house, which the coons are welcome to.

Right, once they've been on the first visit, they think they've got an all season pass!

I wonder if it would help to take in some eagles or owls. Or at least some hawks.

ETA: I see the situation is other than a quick return from nearby. Could I interest you in a trebuchet then? Or a compressed air punkin chucker?

We've had a noticeable increase in the crow population around here this year, far more so than I have ever seen. I like corvids, and respect their remarkable intelligence, but they can also be serious d1x, ganging up and chasing off owls and hawks (the latter of which I witnessed firsthand yesterday).

I'm not sure what to do about that (if anything), as we really need some avian predators around here to help keep rodents under control.

I'm not sure what to do about that (if anything), as we really need some avian predators around here to help keep rodents under control.

Corvids are slowly recovering from West Nile Virus, which very nearly wiped them out in some areas. We had no crows here for years, and I'd live to see some. A murder of crows normally only mobs a raptor if it gets too close to a nest tree.
