We ran out of urology stories.

Air your grievances sir! To me every days is Festivus! After than, the feats of strength.

Back to work now... I have actual physical work to attend to rather than the usual just siting and poking at the keyboard. I might even have to lift today. Some standing and walking for sure, and maybe scoot up a ladder. I need an assistant!

Well, there was the time I got my vasectomy at the urologist's office. During the procedure he and I had each other laughing so hard with bad jokes that a nurse came in to see what was wrong. My wife just sat over in the corner shaking her head. Seeing wisps of smoke rising from your numb scrotum (can I use that word on Talkbass?) is a very surreal experience.

How's that?
:laugh::roflmao::woot::hyper:

I first dyslexiad that into "sexual" which made the story even more interesting.

I told the doc that did my prostate take out:

So this guy was of the age to get his first digital prostate exam. His buddies were all razzing him about hitting that age and having that done. So, he decides he's going to go to Thailand and have a beautiful female Thai do the fingering. So he goes there, locates the doc and she starts doing it. Then she says, "At this point it's perfectly normal to get an erection." And he says, "But I haven't got an erection." Then she replies, "Not you, me."

First gig last night since surgery, exactly 28 days after radical nephrectomy. Sat on folding stool entire time, one foot propped up to hold the weight of bass (in my avatar) off my body- no strap. Only 3 sets, very low stress, didn't carry anything... (what's to carry? Rumble 500 head, Eden 112EX cab, gig bag, combined weigh less than a large bag of dog food) and folks were kind to help carry and load it for me.

Singing <sic> was challenging, but...got through it.

Point of this post? I don't know, other than to suggest that 27 days ago I wasn't convinced I'd survive, much less be on a bandstand again...hang in there, y'all

Bring it on...
Well, if you insist....Over the last couple of years I've gone through a Radical Prostatectomy, which failed after 2 years, and recently completed IMRT radiation therapy as a follow up to finally get this thing. During both phases I consulted with the head of Radiation Oncology at VCU/MCV. Each time, there was an entire entourage of interns and residents present that, I guess as is customary in a teaching hospital, had to have their own "go" at me. I swear I felt like I was being gang raped at an AMA convention. Especially that one I dubbed "Dr. Bigfinger".

Sorry to hear the first round failed to cure :(

Damn, a whole crowd if fingers! Wow. I told my regula doc that the good thing about having my prostate out was there's no reason for anyone to ever stick anything up my (_!_) again, at least not while I'm awake!

I had the robotic version by the best and meanest urologist in town. On our first date, before I met him, I was relieved a little to see the tube of joy jelly on the counter was sitting by a box of "small" rubber gloves. He came in and must have been 6' 5" shook my hand with his gigantic meat hook then went and got "X-Large" and squeeeeeezed them on before spinnin' me around and having his way with me. I did manage to say, "But we just met" before the gouging began!

Thanks BE....I was good for 2 years before the number was back on the charts. I just had my first post-radiation test, 3 months out, this last Monday and I'm back to <0.1, which is as low as the lab can test. Relieved once again. I just hope it holds this time.

I hope it stays low too! The Radiation used to be very hard on your hips and stuff and less effective than it is now. The seeds are working better with less damage and the targeted radiation hits the target and not the hips so much.
