There are those news photos that change the world when they go to press. Certain you (general you) can think of these news photos I'm talking about. Powerful images.
Someone had to press that shutter so you would know

I get that and I could see it both ways. One being someone's life is saved and might give another contemplating the same action to rethink what they plan. The other is if it ended badly it might make someone think that's an easy way out. There is no easy answer. In this case, I would not take the pic. I think the story could be told with out it.

To your point, the Kent State pics come to mind. You know which pic I'm talking about. It's burned into everyone's eyes. Very powerful with it's message.

I've used a MarkBass F500, Genz Benz 900 Streamliner, Demeter VTBP-M-800D, and a Jule Monique M700. I also tried my MusicMan HD130 but that didn't work well. Not enough power and, as I was told, not enough damping control.

I've had 7 bouts with kidney stones. Three of them required surgery. Simply put, kidney stones are the most painful thing I have ever experienced.

In that situation, the deed was already done, and the photo was of a friend's reaction to it.

Of course, even then, one ends up in the weeds of "capitalizing on someone's misery," which is something photojournaists get all the time (and still debate and discuss among themselves, to be fair).

Naturally occurring pearls are rarely valuable because they are usually oddly shaped. Pearls form when an irritant enters the oyster shell and the pearly material creates a shield around it. Usually the irritant is not perfectly round so the pearl isn't either. Pearls for jewelry are cultivated by seeding the oysters with a tiny, round something or other. Then you get a round pearl that can be used in a necklace or some other thing.

I'm guessing y'all knew this already. My mom said she found a pearl in an oyster once but I don't think she kept it because I never saw it. She said it was black.

I was in a jewelry store on Mo'orea that featured black pearl jewelry. Lovely. The owner had one piece, a single strand black pearl necklace that he'd spent a long time acquiring enough matching black pearls to make a necklace from. US$18,000 (about 15 years ago). Dang. That made the black pearl earrings I bought my third and final ex seem inexpensive. They weren't. She wasn't either.

That said, I'd go back to Mo'orea in a heartbeat. I stayed in the overwater bungalow with the arrow pointing to it. It's a Hilton now, but was a Sheraton when it was built (there was still minor construction going on when I was there). The movie "Mutiny on the Bounty" was filmed just to the left (east) of this photo.

Listened to Huey Lewis and the News - Sports, then BTO - Freeways. BTO - Not Fragile is next and doing some play along with the yellow Carvin and the PF. Haven't done that in a while. I'm liking the Pioneer receiver. It sounds different than the Dynaco tube stuff but that's not a bad thing at all.

It's a fine line. I have no idea how I would react in a tense situation. Most of my pics are like this as they tend to wash away the ugly stuff.

I've had too many to count. Many surgeries - some major. It's odd, however: they've rarely caused me substantial pain - they were noticed in passing, various imaging techniques, or getting lodged in places that brought about severe unpleasantries (albeit painless ones).
