My crop of critters is good about these things. The new arrival peed on my Fender five-string once, before he figured out what the doggie door is for. Won't happen again, now that he knows. Of all the basses to pee on, that was the one.
From what I've read, a 7ender 5er is rare, so mebbe the pooch was...confused? intrigued? And if it's a fretless those are practically unknown to doggie kind so I sorta understand.
I actually took precautions and turned the cab around so it faced the wall. I wouldn't have been so perturbed if he hadn't finagled his way to the one spot back there that was barely exposed…and well, you all know the rest!

Cats are incorrigible. My dad was a crazy cat man so we had a multitude of cats in my home while I was growing up. It's one of my more expensive basses but I've never been thrilled with the sound of it. A little pee probably didn't hurt it. We're they neutered? I have had some cats where snipping them still didn't get it out of their system but not as of the last three or so batches of cats. They never miss the box . Hard to live with otherwise. They become outdoor animals at that point.

Yes, all of ours were neutered by the time I got into playing music, but some didn't get the memo that it was supposed to stop that sort of thing.

Ouch! That's the one issue I was able to avoid. Luck! I also was never one to leave my basses out all the time on a floor stand. The closest one got to firing on my bass was when it was in its black vinyl covered hard shell case. Vinegar didn't remove it. I finally ended up taking some shiny black paint to it. Argh!
I have a few on stands in the big rehearsal studio, which is usually behind a closed door. They're supervised when we're in there but someone (not me) was derelict in his supervision duties on that day. Since most of them know how to act, we don't worry as much about it, but I still make sure the door to my recording studio is always closed, just in case.

I played a show for 10 days in NYC. The cover for my amp was on the floor behind it. A cat peed on said cover. I brought it home, tried cleaning it, let it sit outside for a month. Threw it away.

Beats the heck out of having your drummer ralph on it. At 60 mph. Through the front passenger window, back in through the open rear passenger side window all over the gear in the back seat. That cleanup sucked.
You shoulda put the drummer in the trunk!!!
