Waffle House is where Spirit Air trains its FAs.

Why is everything at every WH sticky?
Residue from their patrons. Industrial cleaning agents have no effect on it, which is why WH doesn't waste any effort or material applying any. :meh:

In my "night shift" years, I was a regular patron of Krystal (the southern White Castle equivalent), Steak'n'Shake, IHOP, Krispy Kreme, and Dunkin' Donuts (before they went all "upmarket"). But once in a Waffle House at the behest of a walking-heart-attack acquaintance was enough for me to draw a hard red line across that ever happening again.

I rate Perkin's above Denny's.
edit. I rate both of those higher than Cracker Barrel.
Never been in a Perkins. Denny's, only once, in Tokyo. (Yes, Tokyo. How/why it was there, I have no idea, but it was crowded.)

Cracker Barrels, only for breakfast, and for me, usually right when they open at 6:00 AM. Go there after the breakfast shift gets into full swing, and you take your chances. By then, I'm back on the road and long gone.

I always wonder how speaker grille cloths get so stained. If it were beer, it'd be at the top.
People throwing things at the band, I would think.

Used to be cigarette smoke :vomit:

I used to wonder too until I noticed my grill cloth stains were only 6-8 inches from the bottom.(??). I did finally locate the source. That's about the look I got too.
