Guitars were plugged directly into the recording desk preamps, an EMI REDD. Two were daisy chained together, the first one overdriving the second.

Among the most memorable breakfast hangs is Andrew's Copper Penny in Burbank. Arguably within walking distance of my home (nobody walks in LA, truth), Italian sausage accompanies the usual eggs-any-style and assorted carbs. Right across the street from what was then TBS — The Burbank Studios — Andrew's Copper Penny is where the restaurant heist scene in Pulp Fiction was filmed.
I sing and play bass but my singing voice is the best kept secret in this town. I'm starting to develop a complex about it. "Shut up and play yer bass" they all say when I ask them to toss me a little bone and give me one song to sing. Just one complete song, that's all I ask. Instead I might - might - get a verse.
