Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Update on the idiot that ran his wifes motorcycle into her truck. I think I detailed the accident somewhere around page 281. At any rate , I crashed my wifes motorcycle and broke my left hand in three places. Cast on for four weeks and a brace on it for another two. Just got back from a friends house and played with his band for almost four hours. The hand is good to go. Still can't play my 12 string but I'm sure that will come back soon. Since I no longer have anything to be grumpy about , I'll get out of here for now. Thanks to all that wished me well six weeks ago.

Congrats on a proper healing! Glad you had to do what you love most. Now you can go chase young whippersnappers off your lawn with a rake! Ha ha! :roflmao:

Good to hear Sharky! Now to get back to the 12 and prevent more pain, me, with no fingers that point the same direction (dirt bike, football, growing up in a small ag town...), I have a recommendation. My physical therapy exercise yields immediate relief. I just take an object about 2" diameter, lift it up to my lips and slurp out the Guinness X-stout. It only takes about 6 reps. One rep is how ever many times it takes to empty the cylinder. However, operating a bottle opener yourself can detract from the effect, so if you don't have someone to do that for you, it may take more.

Oh, yes, it's also important to avoid any exercise you don't like. IE mowing the lawn, dumping the trash, etc.

Guinness therapy seems to be working this evening. Seahag (my lovely wife) and I did peach wine therapy last night. It worked well too. Thanks.

Big to me is anything over 250cc (2 stroke)
Of course a 2 stroke = almost double the power of the same sized 4 stroke. AMA won't let a REAL 250 run against thumper junk. I long for a big bore yammy IT. I had to succumb to the 4t, but at least I was able to add RM400 forks and I have an RM rear ind sitting on the floor of my garage... only for maybe 5 years, Had an IT460 lined up, a white knight, ran into a cash flow problem. Not seen a deal like that since. If I see a 460 or 490 for a good price I'm on it.

The bike i learned on was a Bultaco Matador 250

Seahags bike is a 2002 Honda Shadow 750. To me , that shouldn't be a big bike as the last bike I owned was a 1952 Harley 74. Rode those things for about 25 years and a couple of smaller bikes for a few years before that. Problem is , I sold the last one about 25 years ago and really hadn't been on a bike since. I wouldn't have been on this one except that Seahag didn't have her M.C licence yet and needed me to drive it home for her and also drive it to the practice range for her test. That's where we were headed when the crash happened.
