Well I been a busy lad over the last few days!! I decided to put together some gear that I have to make it useful. Started off with a six space SKB rack case. Loaded in a Carvin DCM1204 four channel 300W per power amp into the bottom two spaces. A Carvin power bar with lights in the top position. The rest hold an Alesis 12 channel mixer. Needing effects I added a Zoom Studio in the back top position. Back bottom space I filled with a custom made panel with SpeakOns for Mains (channels 1 and 2), a SpeakOn plus a Phone socket each for the monitors (channels 3 and 4). As it would be a hassle connecting XLRs inside the case I connected an eight XLR microphone snake. Every thing folds into the case for a fairly compact unit. All in all it weighs 30 Kg!

It worked first time except I got right and left crossed - an easy fix.
Next I added a music feed to my big PA to allow between set music from an iPod. It has a Mackie 16 channel mixer, a Carvin DCM1750L for mains and a Carvin DCM2004L for monitors individually controlled by the four Aux. sliders on the mixer. It’s all housed in a big black SKB cube to which I added wheels.
Lastly I took a 12 channel Mackie mixer, four microphone channels, and a Carvin DCM<1000L (mounted in a SKB four space rack case with another Carvin power bar) and an ART FX 1 effects unit for reverb. It too worked beautifully. Flying cables do the interconnects for Right, Left, Send and return. These cables store inside the SKB case. A one space box in the bottom position with power sockets allow for easy plug in for AC supplies.
Between testing all this stuff and me having fun, my garage has been rocking out for days!
Where I had a pile of miscellaneous stuff lying around it’s now all usable. On the 19th it’s my street’s Corn roast (33rd year IIRC) and I always get friends to come out to give some live entertainment. I’ll give the big PA an outing to see how it all works together.
Edit: Amusingly the music is held on an original IPod with the HDD. I can power this via a Firewire power supply and it still works well after all these years!!
