There's no way to be down when there's grandkids about, but they sure can be exhausting. It's amazing how a 2 1/2 year can drain the energy from two grown adults in no time. When he went for his afternoon nap, we both took naps too so we can try and keep up. :sleep:

Careful with that revenge stuff. Those kids get the last laugh when they put you in the home.

By the way, GOF's what the h3ll is going on with TB? There is this insane thread about a guy who bought a 62 Jazz bass for $100 and people are tearing into each other over their opinions about it-- I mean, vicious comments! This is not the TB I remember from many moons ago. Maybe too many hipsters? Or 'ironics' I think they call them? Dang whippersnappers anyway! :eyebrow:

I hope the "I've got mine so #$%& you" mentality hasn't infected TB too, but if it has, I guess it was inevitable. It seems to have permeated society in most all the other areas. Spoken like a true GOF I guess.

If only was just TB. At a check-up with my family doc recently I was asked those questions that are now a required protocol if you're over a certain age.

The first one was whether I felt depressed. I thought for a moment and said, well yeah, but only when I watch cable news. Then I was asked if I "feel safe", to which I replied absolutely not. I of course qualified that response by saying that if someone attended some of the intelligence briefings I do they wouldn't either.

The third question seemed like a particularly goofy one from a diagnostic perspective in my opinion. I was asked if I had trouble remembering things. I felt the only answer I could give was no, not as best I can recall. Unless it was obvious that I couldn't remember what the question was before responding, how would they be able to tell an honest person from someone with a memory problem?

Ken, my sympathies go out to you. I've been down that road, including three episodes of prostate biopsies. Even more fun than the ultrasound cuz they get to stab you a few times. Still, I have to be grateful to my urologist cuz if he wasn't so conscientious, I would have died a gruesome death by now. Instead, his looking out for me detected the prostate cancer early enough that a radical prostatectomy saved my life and prevented much suffering for me and my family. I lost some precious functionality in the process, but I'm still alive to enjoy my grandkids.
Guys, if you haven't had your PSA checked, get it done! It's a simple blood test that can save your life.

I had that done last December. Lidocaine strategically applied. Wait 5 minutes. Lube on the scope. Didn't really feel much 'till bladder accessed.

Minor uncomfortableness for a couple of minutes. Glad when it was over.:woot:

Negative results. :cool::thumbsup:

Also got prostrate checked with rhe rubber glove method! :help:

Again, negative! :cool:

Along with very low PSA, peace of mind ensues.:-)

If you haven't been checked recently, now's the time.

Get your colonoscopy, Ophthalmologist eye exam and dental check up too!

Sooner the better.:thumbsup:
