Yeah, that was a fun rig. '68 Telecaster Bass (weighed a ton, neck like a telephone pole), Sunn 200S amp & cab (weighed a ton) and the other cab had 2 EV SRO 15's (weighed a ton and a half). 60 watts cranked through 4 15's was surprisingly loud and when you're 18 weight isn't an issue.

Yup, I did service work for the company (parent company was Dallas Musical Instruments) at the end of its run, ended up with a bunch of pretty cool custom and one-off consoles and parts, then continued on with service work for the brand that replaced Kelsey... Crest Audio.
The console in the photo was 1/2 of a 2 console, 32 channel system with bus-link that I designed on a DB-15 connector. That model was a transformer balanced input too, a very expensive way to go but it was quiet under some pretty adverse conditions.

Cool, I cut my teeth mixing on a couple of small format ones.
My first band. 12 y.o. 1965, 53 years ago.
10 y.o. guit player, 13 y.o. singer and 14 y.o. drummer. One of the original garage bands.
We heard the drummer practicing on the way home from school and stopped by one day to recruit him.Can't really make it out but that's a White Front (pre-KMart) guitar with a recut nut and 4 strings.
What you can't see is my Silvertone Twin Twelve, guitar player's 50's Fender tweed Reverb/60's Champ. Can't remember what the singer used. He never bought a PA. Some things never change. Ha!
Drummer passed in about 1995. RIP John. Good guy.

1973 after being corrupted by the '60s. '64 White Jazz with a Sunn 2000s and cab. Playing with a pick.
(Hey, I started on guitar.) Clean, clear, full tone, no pick noise. Never ear shattering but always solidly present in the mix. Note belt buckle moved to the side.
