I really liked the GM style distributors with the little metal window you could open and stick an Allen wrench through to set the dwell angle instead of having to adjust the point gap with a feeler gauge. And the uni-set points/condenser assembly completely eliminated the occasional issue of dropping a condenser strap screw into the distributor.
"How could anyone be stupid enough to drop a screw down the distributor? What an IDIOT!"
is pretty much what I yelled at myself when I did it.

I learn fast, so I only did it once. I've found plenty of other idiotic things to do though.
