The classic Genesis for me was when Peter Gabriel was in the band.

He's a good businessman, for many years co-owning Solid State Logic (Invalid Link Removed). SSL is a major manufacturer of studio, live, and broadcast consoles. Getting on in years, he stepped back and in late December 2017 sold control the company to Audiotronics (Invalid Link Removed), he's a shareholder in the much bigger new company. He also owns RealWorld Studios (Invalid Link Removed) in Bath England.

He also had one of the business's best b@d@ss bass players too.....

He still does. That particular video of Solsbury Hill is interesting in that it seamlessly splices the song together from different eras.

I like the camera on the headstock in your image. I see this being uses more and more, the video resolution is excellent.

Happy Soulful Sunday...

Thank you for sharing that @SoulReflection . I still remember driving around in Seattle in the 70's listening to this song on the AM radio. Seemed like things were brighter and simpler back then.

Sorry for the sidetrack but does anyone remember the name of those small black powered monitors everyone used a while back? Foam grills and mic stand mounted. I had one and sold it during hard times. It was a great little speaker. Sorry I sold it.

There are so many these days. Try googling “powered vocal monitor on mic stand”. You might come up with the make and model that you’re looking for.

My "new" Jeep has QD2, looks and equipped like the dark Jeep just after 1:00. Quite the 4WD system!

Going to pick mine up soon.

Jeep has always known how to do 4WD right IME. I've never been unhappy or stuck anywhere with a Jeep 4WD system.

I recall in the 50’s and 60’s there used to be ads at the back of comic books for WWII surplus. There were alway jeeps. Well that and those sea horses and xray glasses.

The $50 jeeps were a scam but people around town did have them. A friends dad bought a small WWII bomber like one he flew in, when he can home from the war. It got chucked out in bits over the years. I recall going into surplus shops and drooling over military communication systems while looking for tube testers.

Something like this would be a dream.

Happy New Year to all you smelly GOFs!

Contemplating completion of the first downsizing step: sale of our home for the past 40 years and moving out within 7 days. Moving on and in with my daughter and her family. We all get along so we'll camp out there for awhile and come up with a plan for our next phase.

Keep on keepin' on bro GOFs!
