Not to suddenly change the subject or anything... (yeah, I know, too late) I gave away my P-bass Sunday. My son, the already incredibly talented pianist and percussionist, has been trying to broaden his musical horizons for several years to include the bass. He had already grabbed my cheapest (and crappiest) 5-string to play around with. He's been struggling somewhat and I keep telling him he needs to try a better bass, preferably a four string. He finally brought the crap bass back Sunday when he came to visit mom. I gave him my MIM P-bass with Precision flats on it. He already sounds and plays better. Hopefully this will encourage him to work at it more. He's a very talented kid.
