What strings do you like using on a Martin six?
I changed mine after about 25 years (June 21, 1994) on my HD-28 and couldn't find the same type from Martin that I was using. Installed a set of phosphor bronze Lifespan SP, light (12-54), MSP7100. I like the sound of the old ones. Maybe I just like dead strings.
The people on the Martin Forum spend at least as much time discussing strings as TBers do. My own personal choice has been Martin SP4200, which is no longer made, but still available via Amazon. It"s a medium .013-.056 phosbronze. I have never been able to stand the sound of treated or coated strings.
