Buckle up fellas , the Seahag saga continues.
When we last left Seahag , she had ditched Sharky and jumped on her bike to go visit their son in Denver. This was during Sharkys busiest musical week of the year (but that's another story.) She stopped along the way to visit some friends and do some sightseeing and arrived in Denver a week later. Spent a week there and did a lot of sightseeing with Gatorbait. Ok , two weeks out and she finally decides it might be time to head for home. BUT WAIT.....THERE's MORE. The Sturgis bike rally is going on and only 6 hours out of the way , so she heads there. Figured she'd see Deadwood while she was in that neck of the woods. It's only about 15 miles up the road from Sturgis. All was going well till Saturday afternoon when she ran into some rain. Finally decided to bag it for the afternoon but on a wet ramp , somewhere in Wyoming , she laid the bike down. I got the call around 4PM. She said she was OK but the bike got banged up a bit. She wasn't sure if it would go anymore and she was talking about renting a U Haul to bring it home. Just about that time , the police and EMT's show up so she said she was going to deal with them and would call me back.
Fast forward about an hour and the phone rings again. The cop wrote it all off to the wet road , the EMT's decided she wasn't hurt (just a bump on the knee) and some guy stopped and helped her fix the saddlebags (one top broke off) and get the windshield back on. Three mounts still worked for the windshield and a couple of tie straps supplied by said stranger did the rest of the job.
"Well , it seems to be running fine" she said "so I'm headed for Deadwood and Sturgis. See ya sometime next week."
