Get off my LAWN! "Grumpy Old Farts"

Buckle up fellas , the Seahag saga continues.
When we last left Seahag , she had ditched Sharky and jumped on her bike to go visit their son in Denver. This was during Sharkys busiest musical week of the year (but that's another story.) She stopped along the way to visit some friends and do some sightseeing and arrived in Denver a week later. Spent a week there and did a lot of sightseeing with Gatorbait. Ok , two weeks out and she finally decides it might be time to head for home. BUT WAIT.....THERE's MORE. The Sturgis bike rally is going on and only 6 hours out of the way , so she heads there. Figured she'd see Deadwood while she was in that neck of the woods. It's only about 15 miles up the road from Sturgis. All was going well till Saturday afternoon when she ran into some rain. Finally decided to bag it for the afternoon but on a wet ramp , somewhere in Wyoming , she laid the bike down. I got the call around 4PM. She said she was OK but the bike got banged up a bit. She wasn't sure if it would go anymore and she was talking about renting a U Haul to bring it home. Just about that time , the police and EMT's show up so she said she was going to deal with them and would call me back.
Fast forward about an hour and the phone rings again. The cop wrote it all off to the wet road , the EMT's decided she wasn't hurt (just a bump on the knee) and some guy stopped and helped her fix the saddlebags (one top broke off) and get the windshield back on. Three mounts still worked for the windshield and a couple of tie straps supplied by said stranger did the rest of the job.
"Well , it seems to be running fine" she said "so I'm headed for Deadwood and Sturgis. See ya sometime next week."
Glad to hear the mishap was minor and she wasn't hurt! Safe travels for the rest of the way!

And Sunday being a "Take Care of Myself" day, Monday finds your narrator at a photo shop for photos for a new passport. Stand here [click], five minutes please.

The historical display case contains numerous Kodak cameras of varying vintage. On a top shelf inside the case is a Praktica with a Vivitar zoom lens. And I see many Vivitar lenses, and they were certainly a sort of Peavey of the camera world. And there! Bottom shelf, a pristine F3. As I look at the Praktica, I see the ASA adjustment on the top and see just how clearly the function is integrated. Very simple and .. practical. So cool beans, oh and really didn't think the photos would capture my tie dye. But they did. They seen me coming anyway with the gig bag on my back

Not worth it. I am trying my best to let that one die a dignified death, but he keeps texting me anyway.
If he keeps texting you there's more to the story... so says the detective..... You come across as a fine person. If you ever get curious about texting back and following up.. be veddy veddy careful... ok so done lecturing... :bag:

Blues Monday you say?!!

Nice snag. Opening licks remind me of Alan Wilson.

We'd hafta open a whole new thread for "the one that got away" stories.:(

The one that got away ... last seen in Amsterdam on his way to an ashram in India ... he did ask, what on earth was I thinking? :banghead: The blues, got them Monday blues.

He makes no secret about what he wishes had transpired 30 years ago, but he also realizes it's water under a very old bridge. So, we remain old friends. We don't chat often, but now and then catch up on life. That's about it.

If, by some quirk of fate, we should both end up single at the same time, then it might be nice to reconnect. But I like my life the way it is, and single is not something I'm looking to do, so I wouldn't exactly welcome whatever quirk of fate might create that scenario. Some things are just better left in the past.

A cool morning on one of our trails, Mosquito Cove. Beautiful, cool morning. @Passinwind

It seems like every time you post a picture of something you see during your typical day Will, to me it looks like the kind of picture postcard I would love to be sending from a dream vacation spot when I'm spending a week or two.

I take it that you didn’t buy the F3.

The F3, like the others in those three cases, is on display as a museum piece. The new stock on the other side of the isle is all digital. Took pause at how small the F3 seems, and then recalled I'd never seen one in the wild without a motor winder.

Mine had a huge flash. Add a zoom lens and it was big enough to hump around.

We used an F3 (sans winder) on our (big-azzed) Bencher M3 copy stand (actually, it was a very large table, around 3' x 6', with the system mounted to it, along with the vacuum easel we placed on top of the table) when 35mm was required, otherwise the Busch Pressman D lived on it.
