The Tell originally formed as a song-writing duo in south east London early 2004. In those days, the west coast feel to the acoustic guitar and harmonies, brought comparisons to the Mama's & Papa's and Jefferson Airplane. Though the line up changed during 2006 / 07, we had 3 different bass players and a temporary vocalist The Tell is now a four-piece rock band, whose melodic vocals, ecstatic guitar, deep thought bass and awesome drumming have reminded listeners of Hawkwind, Velvet Underground and early Floyd.

thats dumb! in my opinion bass is just as hard as guitar. i play bass and guitar but my bands guitarist cant play bass......so what does that say?

Dont think it's them. For one their website claims they were formed in 2004, 3 years too late to be the same band mentioned in the OP.

Besides, they look like hippies. Typically hippies don't get that "violent" even in email. It would be more like, "hey man, let's mellow and vibe together" type of thing. But, then again, they did say they were "Pagan Rock": If it was the same band I don't think they'd have wasted time with an email. They'd have just put a hex on you.;-)

I was good after 10-12 months of lessons - when I was 14.

Hell - anyone can sit there and hit 2-4 on the bass and throw in the h-hat and snare hits once and awhile. big deal
