but i cant, 200 euros is pushing it for me:/ but i read the reviews and its very positive, out of 500 votes 9.3/10;D seems priceworthy, but if itll work fine for IM style ill get it, sadly= no Amp

Ahyes, ill try that But so it will work well playing iron maiden songs for example? And anyone have a answer to my "faster lefthandfingers problem"?

i say the faster your left hane the better it means its stronger, and it means that youll probably be faster moving up and down the neck and youll maybe beable to play notes faster. However that means that your right hand can do just as good. Just keep playing and practising sooner or later itll be as fast if not faster than your left hand

Thanks, ive decided on the warlocks, its looks kickass and the reviews rock too The metal fans says it makes good sound for the genre so it seems perfect^^ around middle of april ill have it;D Just wondering, is 34"scale to big for me maybe? Or maybe it wont be a problem^^?

It really depends on your hand size, i was 12 when i started (13 now), and i started on a 34" scale bass.

if you have really really small hands that just cant stretch 3 frets on a normal scale even with practise then maybe you should try out a short scale one

nah theyr not small and not very big either, theyr medium id say but if you could do it at 12 i can prolly do it im 15 in 3 months so, id be ashamed if i couldnt^^

EDIT:Hey this is to the guy you told demon about the power tab program...Where are the Bass versions of the songs? I can only find the guitar versions...sorry for going off topic

Guess I shoulda been a bit more specific. Sorry. Anyway, on most songs, they'll have the entire song in a MIDI file. If you use one in the program, there'll be two "sheets" of music. You can go in options or use a button in the toolbar that's sorta hard to see. There's one for treble clef (mostly the guitar parts) and one for the super-awesome-only-the-cool-cats-can-use bass clef (as in...well...bass).

Hope that clears everything up for anyone who decided to start using it. Seriously awesome program. Best part being that it's free!

Edit: Oh and congrats Demon for finding yourself a bass! Although I myself arn't too attracted to B.C. Richs mostly (although the Mockingbird looks like something I'd consider buying), at least you found yourself something good. But try not to get cut on those sharp corners.

Hey if you're gonna get a bc rich get a BEAST!!!!! though youll definatly stab you self at least once....but i dont know about the warlock...well if it makes you happy i gues you should get it? Have you tried it out as yet?

If your wanting to do alot of Harris stuff - a P Bass. Its what he uses and has always done really.

T_T, i havent tried it, im ordering from the german site, seems pretty priceworthy, btw, is the Warlock a P bass? Im pretty sure its not jazz but who knows And the beast is to expensive T_T as you know 200 euros is pushing it, its a beginners bass and im pretty broke^^

P bass is a bass with P pickups - those little half pick ups. E.g. they look like pick ups for only 2 strings - if that makes sense ?

I was just looking at one of the SX basses I was thinking about man... and is it just me, or does it say "lightweight" as one of the benifits. Correct me if I'm wrong, but mass = sound? Well, for the most part anyway. But yeah. SX basses. I have been thinking about one and I've been playing almost a year now.

Demon, the pickup on the Warlock is a P style. If you look at it one piece is under the E & A strings and the other is under the D & G strings.

Demon, like you I'm new at this, I'm a fairly small female, and the 34" scale bass worked for me. I mean at first my shoulders and neck ached, and my fingers felt a bit funny but after a few weeks stuff stopped aching. Your fingers will learn to work together and stretch out after you've practiced a bit.

Anyway, get the bass you love. Reviews are important but if you find a bass you like the feel, sound, and looks of, to hell with the reviews! Just get it and get playing.

Also, you might want to check out the other practice, technique, repair etc threads on this site. They're really helpful.

you shouldnt always deepend on reviews though. REviews of this bass( RBX374 by Yamaha) said this bass is wonderfull and all.. I went to try it at a local music shop...It was sloppy and the setup wos horrible but i think that its because the bass was at a piano-ish type store. I dont know.. But try to try it out.

Since you like Iron Maiden you should try looking at the Squire bass pack that comes with a Squire Affintiy P-Bass, Fender Rumble 15, and some accesories. That's what I got and I like it, but right now I want a bigger amp.
