No, still using the light 45-98 set. I have used the medium set before, but I think the light set sounds clearer, and by no means feels _too_ flexible.

I asked only because I saw the medium package beside the audio clip.
Understandable! I obtained the picture from the GHS web site, and the only Brite Flats picture I saw was for the medium set.
I just received my order for a new set of Brite Flats (45-98) today. The only thing is the next string change on my P is not scheduled till the end of June. So, it's a question of how long I can hold out, resisting the temptation to scratch the itch. I have a feeling it's going to be a long three and a half months.
The good news is they will be replacing the Pressurewound ML7200, so I'll be able to compared the two back-to-back on my P for the first time. The last time I had a chance to compare them was on my J, and I ended up going back to the PWs. But I'm very curious to find out how the BFs will do on the P.

I am strongly considering a light set of Brite Flats for my Fretless Jazz. I've had TIJFs on it for a year and a half now and I love them but I can't help but be curious about some other options. I plan on trying Round Core Boomers and Pressurewounds someday but these have definitely piqued my interest.
Just a follow-up...
After an agonizing three months trying to decide what the next set of strings for my P should be, I've finally decided to stick to my initial plan. The BFs will replace the PWs as of this coming Sunday now that the PWs are exactly one year old as of yesterday.
I almost ditched the idea for the BFs in favor of something with a bit more bark and bite, GHS Super Steels, but came to a realization I really don't need or want anything too aggressive for my P bass after all.
Will report back in the next couple of weeks.

I have essentially settled on Brite Flats for my fretless bass, and Precision Flats for my (new) ash-body Jazz Bass. Both of those sound awesome.
I HAD settled on Balanced Nickels for my Precision Bass, and Round Core Boomers for my older Jazz Bass... excellent choices there too, but I was finding that the Balanced Nickels on the Precision Bass, when recorded, sounded almost exactly like the Round Core Boomers on the neck pickup of the Jazz Bass. Of course, both sounded _good_, but I thought I should strive for some more variety there.
So I actually just got a new set of Super Steels to try another round of those on the Precision Bass...
I’m very curious about the Brite Flats, too. Please keep us updated!
I've got Brite Flats on my Jazz, and while I haven't played them yet on a gig I have played them in the living room, and they sound good there. How a string feels under my fingers is critically important to me; I played a four-hour gig once with rounds, and my fingertips were killing me afterwards. No more rounds for this kid! The Brite Flats feel good under my fingers, but they are taking a while to lose the stickiness.
I have pressurewounds on a 5 string P and brite flats (actually the Smith branded version, slick rounds) on a 4 string P.
As others have said, PWs are in the round wound family, and BFs are in the flats family. I really like the tone of each, but prefer the feel of the BFs. Yes, a little sticky, but smoother than the PWs, which have a sort of coarse texture to them.
Tone-wise, PWs are like taking nickels to it's logical conclusion of fat and warm. Strong fundamental and low mids. Big sound.
BFs have a really nice woody character to them, and they will get some harmonic richness going. Great with light overdrive. Good mix of warm thump and clarity. Tighter down low than the PWs.
I wish I liked the feel of the PWs more, but I don't love it. Have a set of ghs balanced nickels on the way to check out, interested to see how they compare to these two sets.
